A poem doesn't have to rhyme, I thought a reporter would know that.

Hate to break it to you dude, but your rhythmic flow is super natural... :carling:

1. As a reporter my expertise would not specifically include that of poetry. Poetry is only one part of literary study and thus not everyone will have an advanced understanding of poetry. You wouldn't expect a reporter for a large news corporation to be educated in poetry would you? Then why would you automatically expect it of me?

2. No poetry does not always consist of rhyming words or phrases, but for the most part using rhymes in a poem will add to the flow and readability of the poem. In this case the flow and readability is zero. I was suggesting that the use of rhymes may have added to the quality of the poem.

Thank you for attacking me about it though. Maybe next time you shouldn't assume I am misinformed or uneducated.
