Well under Norway's penal system, his maximum sentence will be 21 years in what appears to be the cushiest prison system in the world. Anders Behring Breivik can be charged for crimes against humanity, this means he can get a sentence of 30 years of prison/w custody. To make matters worse, you're about to witness what his potential holding cell will look like and the features of the prison he will benefit from.

Looks nice doesn't it? This scumbag gets to watch TV, while political prisoners in Siberia bust rocks until they collapse from exhaustion. He also has access to a mini-fridge and a nice large window to let in some sunshine.

Prisoners are encouraged to get physical exercise everyday, they each get their own personal trainer. The prison is spread over 75 acres "of gently sloping forest.… To avoid an institutional feel, exteriors are not concrete but made of bricks, galvanized steel and larch; the buildings seem to have grown organically from the woodlands."

Inmates can form their own band and have access to a professional recording studio to help them produce albums if they want.

The well-stocked library at Halden contains not only books but magazines, CDs, and DVDs.

Inmates share common kitchens and living rooms. Some common areas are designated as places where both inmates and guards can meet and mingle -- or, you know, just hang out.

The prison boasts a state-of-the-art gym, complete with a rock-climbing wall. No word yet on whether there's a class on tunneling.

Guards don't carry guns and are encouraged to be outgoing and friendly toward the inmates -- they eat together and play sports in mixed teams to create a sense of family, according to officials.

Free dental, one of the many perks of becoming a felon.

A private bathroom full of potential weapons that could be used to stab the snoozing guard.

This is their rehabilitation, looks like they're beginning to understand their mistakes and learn from them by clapping.

Do I need to explain this? I'm ****ing appalled right now.

Hope you guys enjoyed this tour of the best prison in Norway or perhaps the whole world. It's not uncommon for people to steal $1 just so they can reap the benefits that this place has to offer. Sorry about the page layout, I'm not used to this new vb.

WOW, They must have an incredibly low crime rate to fund those places?

Or maybe lesser crimes like Rape gets you a 14 day max stay?

I have no idea of Norway's sentencing guidelines, or penal system, but it would never fly here.
Camden NJ , for example , would be encouraged to commit more crime to get off the street.

Anyway, Outstanding job on the thread and format :y:

It seems that you would rather want to get into prison, than stay out of it.

WTF! that is messed up, IMO murders, rapists, sex offenders etc should have the most basic living conditions, 6ft sqaure room with just a bed, thin mattress and a toilet and be locked up for ever.
