But more surprisingly that it will be not just be for PC, but both next-gen consoles - the PS3 and Xbox 360 - and even Mac! It will see release soon on the PSN store and Xbox marketplace respectively.

Valve said that the game is due to release next year in 2012. It will feature bumped up graphics - which were a long time coming - new characters, maps and game modes. So it seems value is going head to head against both FPS giants, to try and get "a slice of the cake". No images or trailers have been showed yet of the game.

This is so ballin'

I play CS:S all the time on PC and now I get to play the new CS on PC AND Xbox!!!! Can't wait! So many good games coming out in the next 2 years.

Counter-Strike on consoles is as logical as Diablo or Starcraft on consoles...

Hopefully this will be as good as the origins of CS on PC.
