I know that DeadMau5 used FL Studio. I also use it and I have a friend who makes so me sick dubstep using the program. I recommend checking that out man. It is easy to learn and has very expansive tools and capabilities.

What open said, in fl studio you can use stuff such as sytrus and what most people use 3xOsx since it's the eaistiest and you can make a ton of wub wub sounds out of it. However FL costs quite abit so you should go about pirating it.

FL Studio is the most common used program to make dubstep.

A lot of people also use reason 5 or Cubase.

I have also tried out Ableton Live 8 and it's good, but it's for advanced producers so you may have issues figuring out how to use it.

Yeah man, FL Studios 10 is a great start to creating simple yet catchy music, this is coming from a producer. Almost any genre of music can be recreated or made on Fruity Loops. The possibilities are endless. Here's the tutorial dude. You must login or register to view this content.

Very true, Fl studio is one of the best, pretty easy to get the hang of too. Btw Does anyone know any good vst plugins or sample packs used for making dubstep?
