I don't know how it works.......
But i believe it depends how your brain decides to deal with the image / see it.
That how you can tell which side of your brain controls you the most.

However the human brain does not only use one side , it switchs but one side is often picked over the other.

Strange feeling it a illusion with nothing to do with what side your brain is.
