(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey guys,so lately ive been working out alot mostly because i want to get a six pack but the annoying thing is that im stocky and for some reason the abs dont show up but i can feel the muscle when i put my finger on my stomach, i really dont know what im doing wrong if anyone would know how i could get my sixpack to show please quote me Smile

PS. for any1 who doesent know what stocky is its when you are not skinny but your not fat,you look at little bit chubby but your healthy,its really hard to explain so i hope some people know what it is :L

To have a "six pack" is not hard.
If you want to look "lean" then:

1. Eat lean meat(cut out all the fat)
2. Eat smaller portions of food at each sitting as this will be easier for your body to digest and won't deposit as much fat.
3. Do sit-ups/crunches. do each set to failure(til' you can't do anymore reps)
4. If you want that lean look,do higher reps for each excercise as that burns more fat.
Less fat under the surface of your skin will show more muscles.

Abs are about body fat %, once your around 10ish% you can start to see them. Even if you dont work out at all and get to a low body fat you will still have visible abs. They wont be real cut but you will have them. I am 19 years old and I am like 177lbs right now, also 5'11". I don't have abs right now but I a have a flat stomach. Once I get down to around 163lbsish I can see my abs. Bulk and cut!! I think you may have a little more fat on you then you think. Because if your almost as big as me and your only 14 then I am doing something wrong lol. I have been lifting for around 2 years hard. At my gym there is a lady who will for free well if you have a membership will calculate your body fat %. With fat calipers, so you can get more of a idea where you are in body fat %. Just by your age and everything and height and weight, I would guess your 20ish% 25ish% body fat. It doesn't happen over night, you gotta work hard for them! Age doesn't matter either you can get abs at 10 if you tried hard enough.

Also you don't need fat to turn into muscle, where the heck are you guys getting that from? FAT DOESN'T TURN INTO MUSCLE. If your going to post things at least know what your talking about. Google it at least, read a book maybe! You guys need to learn how to build muscle and how to lose fat first before you even worry about getting visible abs. If you understand how your body works and what makes it grow then its easier, always easier if you know what your doing.

Y'all wrong. You can do sit-ups all day everyday and not see a difference. You need to burn the fat on your stomach for them to show. The best way is running. More specifically sprinting. This burn calories like ****. Put in all your effort and as fast as you can for how long you can. Slow down to a walk or jog, and continue for maybe 2 minutes in total of sprinting, or until you are completely ****ed. This is known as High Intensity Interval Training. Jogging and sprinting, jogging and sprinting. You body eventually get's used to jogging, because you're doing the same thing each and every time, sort of like walking. Sprinting, however, changes with you. Your speed and distance, working your body to the max, hence why sprinters are bulky, with a pack and thigh muscles and marathon runners are long and lean. It also helps you run longer and faster than just general jogging. You don't need to do sit-ups or crunches. All these do is harden your abs, so you don't need to do them until you get your fat down. Sprinting also works your abs, you can feel it the next day.

Cut down on fatty foods, beer, snacks. Eat fruit for snacks as they are more nutrient dense, giving you more energy than say cookies. Eat meat (steak), fish and so on, high protein foods. Google is the best bet for that.

Don't waste your time doing sit ups, get out sprinting and ignore these that say they got a six pack in 2 week from doing 100 sit-ups a erryday. They are either lying or were just completely anorexic.
