According to NBC, the Rodemeyers had gone to the school about the problem in the past. Jamey even sought counseling to learn to deal with the problem, but it seems it wasn't enough.
While they say their son seemed happy in the days leading up to the tragedy, his "It Gets Better" YouTube posting from May includes details about how intense the bullying was.
Through it all, Jayme remained outwardly optimistic. “That's all you have to do. Just love yourself and you're set. And I promise you, it'll get better,” he said in the video, which you can see in full below.
Gay bullying has been gaining increasing attention in the media, as a number of tragedies has brought the issue into the spotlight. Earlier this month the California State Senate passed "Seth's Law" a measure designed to curb anti-gay bullying in schools.

Back on subject, so he chose to be discriminated to the point of suicide, correct? Just like how a 13 year old boy chose to be gay, someone of pure innocence?

He didn't chose to be discriminated. He chose to take his life which is to bad.

Let me pose my point once again, if I throw gasoline all over the house. Then set a match on a table. A 7 year old walks over and flicks the match. Am I responsible? Of Course!
What you are doing is trying to fuse bullying. Online bullying, tbh, I don't give two shits about it. Now when there are a group of kids constantly harassing you everyday, maybe to the point of sexual harassment, of course they are at fault. I don't know to what degree, but you cannot honestly say they had no fault in this.
BTW, how do you feel about homosexuals in general?
BTW Maguss if your reading this, I would be happen to have an intelligent discussion with you, I just feel it would be you telling me how your right and how I'm wrong. Then when I went to say something, you would just say your right.

Hax man I would love and was trying to have an intelligent convo. Nobody can seem to admit or understand that what I am saying has nothing to do with gays or bullying I am simply saying that when a person takes ther own life that is something that they did to themself and that's why its called suicide not murder. Nobody played a part in that last action of his life except for him. If you cannot accept that you are wrong. Its not me telling you your wrong its just a fact. You cant place that blame on anyone else it is just not true.

The bullies played a massive part in the final act of the suicide. They're the reason he resorted to that action and choice. It's like saying if I was to lock someone up in an empty room and I came into the room everyday and cut him, and there was a gun welded to the wall next to him, he can shoot himself in the head or carry on getting cut by a sharp blade for the rest of his life.
Would that be considered his fault for committing suicide? NO I MADE HIM DO IT BY GIVING HIM ONLY ONE WAY OUT, SUICIDE.

Wow thats a crazy Saw scenario but you missed the whole point of what I said and what you said. In both cases the individual killed themself it was not someone else that did it your realy twisting your own words now to mean what you want them to when objectively its not true. Your just trying to satisfy your own personal desire for someone else to be blamed.

I was trying to explain it the best I could, and I'm not twisting my words they're both relatable, as in each case the person was driven to suicide, without the bullies contribution to this subject, he wouldn't of taken his life.

Yeah he took his life, but due to other people, you talk as if the bullies had zero responsibility of this mans death, which is just ignorant. Because if they were not to have anything to do with this death, then why would this suicide not have occurred without these bullies?
I don't see how I'm wrong by acknowledging that this person took his life, I knew that all along, but my point is that this suicide would not have occurred without the bullies involvement, which means.. It's their fault, right?
