In Flames Much?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It would appear that CERN has found a major bombshell. Hidden within a couple years worth of data.
Sub-atomic particles have been found to be traveling faster then light particles.
Strange particles which did the feat was from a group called neutrinos.

What does this mean........wellll Einstein was wrong. Along with a couple other theories which use it numbers.
If this is true then science is put into a right pickle.

Best news time travel IS possible and it was found by accident.
Found it interesting so posted it. What do people think could it be possible ?
In this day and age stuff like this is checked before released so could be true.

Edgier than an octagon
Apparently all the readings are correct, they were being analysed over the last six months or so. I'm not really sure what to make of the whole thing, it boggles the mind to try and think of it logically. For example, they would have received the neutrinos before they were even sent, how is that possible?

Anyways I know we are all wondering if it will lead to time travel and I personally don't think it will because sub atomic particles are a long way away from a fully fledged time machine and if you performed time travel then you would abuse the shit out of it, I know I would.

Misleading thread, this has not been confirmed. They still need to run shitloads of experiments to make sure it was not human/computer error.

When somebody release something after a internal peer review it been confirmed by that group. It not confirmed overall by science because it needs to be repeated. That why CERN has released the results and asked for others to copy it.

Based on what has been said from CERN they are certain it no error at their end.
If the speed is wrong it only for one group of matter. So a small rewrite is needed but it still big news.

Also brings up some strange possible outcomes like time travel into the past

Neutrinos take a short cut into a another dimension is one theory. Going faster in that dimension then slow back down once they hit are dimension.

We won't be seeing "time travel" for a couple millennia, assuming we don't wipe ourselves out by then. And there are many paradox's that would have to be addressed.

Shiver do you lift?
60 nano seconds.. come on, something must have ****ed up.

That wont mean shit, 60 nano seconds are so small that it would hardly make a difference if it was faster.

Would it?

Im just talking out my ass here

I think it's just a news scoop, I mean, by all means, it could be true, but the news tends to bend the truth.
