Looking at the member list, it would appear that about 22 members have decided to prestige so far. :O
13 of the 36 total staff have done it and about 440K in rep points was traded in to do the prestige in all. :rolleyes:

I looked at newer membership to see how many may have decided to do it and found that of the 15,386 members who have joined the site since April 1st this year and have at least 5 posts, only 17 could prestige if they choose to and only 1 could do it at the 10k number in the future.

None have elected to do it yet...:p

There are 240 members that still qualify to prestige, at present, and 74 members that could prestige at the 10K cost in the future.
In the future it will take a member, who has prestiged, 166 rep hits, or 1,000 combined thanks and nominations to make his next presitge level. :confused:

Here is the list of current members that have presitged so far.

Cammmy , Drackos, Enzo-F, Foxkaz, Gola, Samm23116, Jayy, Jot, Jerry, Luke, Merkii, Matt1511, Matt23116, Outsider, Hells, iDelete, Omniplasma, Rackateer, Reaper, xSync, xd336 ..... Oh and one of them still needs 160 more rep hits to get to his next prestige or 960 thanks

nothing wrong lol , oh man , i just gave my opinion on the entire thing , didn't think i would get so much blow back =x. I like the change I just don't like how ngu caters to cod only but like matt said its the top selling game so what did i expect

on rep , hmm none really. I really think it was good except for the part where people ( like me :carling: ) don't get neg rep . groans should be at least -1 rep but I truly think the repsystem as it is now is good and the prestige thing I also have no problems. Its a good idea just don't like how it spawned from Cod.
I like this forum because you can speak on multiple things but this site should be able to stand alone just like ign or any of the big gaming forums not just about cod feel me.

Your points about NGU being Cod focused were much more valid 6 months ago.
There have been many sections added since then to include other games, including minecraft the other day.
Staff has tried to incorporate more diverse gaming discussion, but continues to be challenged by membership's focus on FPS games and the COD series inparticular.


Outsider and senior staff are always trying to develop new ways to pull in other gaming interests.

I like the idea, but I kinda feel the same as you. Maybe if it wasn't called "prestige" it would be better, but I don't know what else it could be called.

I like using the prestige concept and name.
Prestige is a driving factor in the COD series success and is instinctively understood by the membership here.

Fear of being too COD based is not a valid reason to avoid it's use as a reputation concept.

The issue I see with it is the time to advance.

At the current rates and rep advancement, it may spoil it's use.

It could take several years to get a 10th prestige emblem, unless you glitching bastards come up with a prestige hack
