I really just want you guys to talk about your loved ones who have succumbed to drugs. Tell stories about how and/or why they started doing it. I'll start.

Here's why my dad first did Meth:
He was in middle school and he was the best track runner in the school setting records that are still at that school today.

He was accepted to go to the Jr Olympics, but he needed the money to go. So, he went to his parents for help and they said no and threw away all of his Running trophies (He had a lot. Not sure about exact number). Don't ask me why they did that because I do not know. He didn't start because of the Jr Olympics thing, he started because they pretty much threw away his accomplishments of his whole life. So about a week later he heard about Meth and he thought it would be an awesome thing to do (By the way he didn't do any drugs before or even smoke cigarettes). So he tried it and he couldn't stop doing it and well it pretty much ****ed his life over for the rest of his life. He went to jail the following year for Meth.

My mother also did Meth, but she quit as soon as she heard she was pregnant with my older brother (He's dead now though)

Also please be mature in this thread. I do not want to see people trolling, flaming, spamming, or just being dumbasses.

Yea so? Marijuana isn't like Meth. Meth has killed millions of people since it creation in 1893. Marijuana has never killed a person and it has been around for thousands of years.

Look through my post you quoted and see where it says Mary Jane kills you.

I feel for you, man.
My uncle was addicted to every drug under the sun and spent most of his life in jail.
He's been to rehab and has been sober for a while. He's taken me to some of his addiction programs because they encourage family members to come occasionally for support and stuff.
It's actually pretty cool because they get together and do things like play baseball, do community service, go out to eat, etc.
My mom is a heavy drinker and she messed around with drugs back in the day too.

If there's anything they've taught me it's that I don't want to be like them at all. Both of them barely made it through high school and I currently make more money and have more hours at my job than my mom. She literally has to borrow money from me to pay the bills sometimes.
That's the reason why I have a 4.0 GPA having taken AP classes throughout my high school career, have a steady job, am attending the Honors Program at WSU to study to become a Chemical Engineer, and know for a fact that I will never **** around with hard drugs and cigarettes.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

You were implying that since I had an avatar and and signature with a marijuana leaf that marijuana was bad.

I will admit to doing LSD on the odd occasion. I'm not addicted, but it's always fun to use every now and then

However, my older bro is addicted to Meth, just like your dad was. He was expelled from school after being caught with possession twice. I swore I would never try that drug, and I never have. I'm making sure I stay away from anything too serious. Usually just weed and alcohol for me.

Not really, I know what I said. I said, You made a drug addiction thread when you have a marijuana profile. You can get addicted to marijuana therefore making you a hypocrite.

Actually, you can get addicted to the high of marijuana. When you are addicted to it, you don't feel normal unless you're high. It's not a physical addiction like nicotine, it's a mental addiction. Anyway, if you do it too much, and I'm talking like twice a day, then you can get addicted to it.
