I really just want you guys to talk about your loved ones who have succumbed to drugs. Tell stories about how and/or why they started doing it. I'll start.

Here's why my dad first did Meth:
He was in middle school and he was the best track runner in the school setting records that are still at that school today.

He was accepted to go to the Jr Olympics, but he needed the money to go. So, he went to his parents for help and they said no and threw away all of his Running trophies (He had a lot. Not sure about exact number). Don't ask me why they did that because I do not know. He didn't start because of the Jr Olympics thing, he started because they pretty much threw away his accomplishments of his whole life. So about a week later he heard about Meth and he thought it would be an awesome thing to do (By the way he didn't do any drugs before or even smoke cigarettes). So he tried it and he couldn't stop doing it and well it pretty much ****ed his life over for the rest of his life. He went to jail the following year for Meth.

My mother also did Meth, but she quit as soon as she heard she was pregnant with my older brother (He's dead now though)

Well yes you can be "addicted" to the high just like you can be "addicted" to playing video games or dancing.
But being addicted to hard drugs like cocaine and meth is very different like you said.
I'm saying you can't get addicted to marijuana like you can to meth and other hard drugs.

What people don't realize about drugs is they can affect everyone. You can become addicted to coke/meth and it wasn't even you who wanted to take it. Someone could simply walk on by with a needle, inject you and there you go, your life is ruined because most of these drugs are a one time use/hook.

No matter what, your life and his will never be the same...

I can't personally relate but I have a friend who went through a phase of heavily experimenting. He did all the shit from cough syrup to acid and everything in between. Luckily now he's going sober and has been clean for over a month. It used to get annoying just to kick it with him, he would just say let's do some drugs. I never conformed, but it was really a bitch to deal with. Glad that he's stopped now, he doesn't even smoke weed anymore. The only thing he needs to let go of now is the cigarettes, then we'd be set.

yea no physical addiction with weed. Easy to stop smoking for long periods of time if you really want to, easy.

Sorry to hear about your father, as most people have said, I'm more grateful having my father.

WOW man, that was sad. I am sorry to hear that, especially what happened to your dad and all. I hope he gets himself some help and all and gets his life sorted out and hope you don't start doing it either. By the way, what happened to your brother if you don't mind me asking.

I know its mentally addicting but I've smoked weed everyday for years and I have quit for a few weeks for thing such as a drug test for a job.

Not physically addicted, But mentally addicted.
