This thread is to be filled with the hopes and dreams of the NGU community on what they want to be when they "grow up". I also have taken into consideration that part of NGU is already "grown up", so if you fall under that category feel free to share your job and if you like it.

I myself want to be a politician or lawyer when I grow up but realistically I will probably go into engineering like most of my family and make some good money. :megusta:

I took an aptitude test a while ago and one of the recommendations was Sociology teacher :p I can't imagine what teaching will be like in the future tho considering now every classroom has a smartboard or at least a computer projector and some classes use iPads or laptops.

I'm a Corporate Attorney. I decided on this when I was about 20, I'm 26. I started working about half a year ago. LOVE what I do. It's definitely not for everyone though.

As a teen, I wanted to be a fighter pilot. My dad was one for a few years and I was fascinated with the technology in the jets. It would be the most exhilarating experience. But, I decided that I want a family and to be able to buy the things I love, to come home everyday, and to give a future family a better life than I had. I couldn't do those things on a military pay check, deployed in who knows where, and having to relocate every few years. As a fighter pilot, they don't even want you to be married.

My next option after being a lawyer would have been to become a specialized surgeon in the field if orthopaedic sports medicine. I would be operating on professional athletes, managing a practice, etc. However, I would be about 34 by the time I actually can start with all the training and residency. I'm an impacient guy!
