Actually, that's exactly what this thread is for. It's entire purpose for existing is for me to discuss the campaigns of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare series, compare and contrast them with each other as well as with other games and to discuss them in depth in what we call... a debate. Don't like it, get the fĂșck out of my debate section. Oh and before you claim this isn't my section, why don't you ask around, because not once has anyone on this forum disagreed with me on anything and actually won the debate. You think you're the big man, well bring it. Let's debate...

You feel I'm wrong do you. Let me guess, you think aesthetics are subjective and we can just have different opinions. WRONG! Art, it's value, it's worth, it can be and is analysed. What makes a good film, painting, song, sculpture or in fact a game is pre-determined. So go on, show me that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare... any of them, has a decent compelling campaign that could be considered to have artistic merit as anything other than a boring, derivitive, directionless, and atmosphere breaking piece of action tat. CoSad AwesomeMW as a series is the gaming equivalent of a bad Stephen Segal movie. Mindless violence, aweful storyline, no direction or character building. It's shit, provably.

Now, this isn't me hating on the game. CoD is a great multiplayer experience and every single person here will agree they buy and play it for the multiplayer. They couldn't give a shit about the single player, that's just a couple of hours extra to get used to the controls, new weapons, any addition features etc. before they play competitively. Sure, there's nothing to say you can't enjoy it, just like you're perfectly within your rights to enjoy a Stephen Segal movie. But let's face it, you watch Under Seige because there's a kung-fu chef killing terrorists with a knife, it's cheesy mindless fun and nothing more. The characters are shite, the story line doesn't make sense, they throw in random tits half way through just to make sure the stoners are awake. It's not a good movie, and no-one in their right mind would say it is, in fact it's a proveably bad movie. CoD's single player is exactly like that.

So, go on, make your case... and while you're at it, you can explain why me voicing my opinion on the topic in question, in the debate section, is "Childish", because some might say that's the fĂșcking point.

I don't like any of them personally I only do them for the achievements If I want good single-player FPS I will throw in Battlefield 3.

Really? Battlefield 3. That had a rather poor single player campaign really... and it kinda ripped off Modern Warfare if we're honest here. I was under the impression that BF3 was the one with the superior multiplayer and CoD was the one trying (and failing) to include a somewhat decent campaign.
Really though, if you want a good single player experience you should play some of the games I listed, Resistance 3, BioShock, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and of course, Half Life 2. Naturally one really good FPS is Fallout 3. People call it an RPG sure, but it's not... not really. There's no role playing, there's no decision making or true character development. For it to be a role playing game you need much more. Fallout 3 is just and open world first person shooter with an actual storyline and a customisable character and leveling system. It has "RPG elements" but it's still an FPS... now that is single player. Call Of Duty and Battlefield, not ment for single player.

In my opinion I like single-player games like Saints Row The Third and Skyrim.

Do a barrel roll!
Haven't played MW, MW2 was fun when it came out, but now with all of the overpowered guns and everyone using Noobtubes it's not playable anymore, and MW3 is great, so between the two I'd choose MW3, even if I liked MW2 better when it came out then MW3.

I've not had a chance to play Skyrim yet, but I hear very good things. As for Saints Row, the third game just felt rushed and jarring to me. The second Saints Row game was far better, with a better story and better characterisation. Saints Row 3 isn't bad, but it's not as good as I was hoping. If you like Skyrim though, I'd imagine Fallout 3 would be the perfect game for you as Skyrim takes a lot of gameplay pointers from it.

Still, I think everyone can agree, CoSad AwesomeMW and Battlefield are multiplayer games with a campaign thrown in for the hell of it, and that's all I was really saying, but hell, if you enjoy it, that's fine.

Chill the **** out, no one asked you to come here and give a freaking lecture on how you feel about the campaign. Honestly, idgaf if you think you own a so called "debate section". You brought up games that were Irrelevan't to my poll options and the general topic at hand. Focus on the games I mentioned. If you want to debate the games you said, be my guest make your own damn thread about it. Now back on topic, which do you guy like more though?

So someone who believes they're all terrible can't share an opinion?

Just stop before you embarrass yourself any further, please.
