(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Do you think it is right for an illegal immigrant to be deported for a serious crime? For example, they are usually deported and face no charges. They can simply illegally enter the U.S. again and do the same thing if they wished. I believe that since they committed the crime, they should face the same consequences as a normal citizen who committed the crime.

The point is neither of those situations are ideal for the child. You cannot punish children for their parents' mistakes.

Your attitude towards this leaves room for abuse in the sense of someone having a child solely to avoid be deported, and this isn't a positive thing for the child involved.

Ah, so it's healthier for the children to remain in the care of those who are teaching them breaking the law is alright... good to know.

Look, this isn't a simple question. This isn't a simple topic though, which needs to be understood. If you choose to allow them to stay then your basically stating it's alright to break the law. If you kick them out and ban them from coming back, then that puts the children in a difficult situation. But laws aren't meant for those indirectly affected, although they are considered, it is for those who are directly affected.

Our immigration laws are messed up, and I'm hoping this thread will allow everyone to realize that.

If the child is born in the U.S., they are a citizen, and the parents can stay until the child is 18. So, the child is simply being used as an "anchor" to stay in the U.S.

Sorry dude, this is stupid do you know how many immigrants have been deported just because ICE went to their jobs? they were just working and many children were affected. They pay Taxes as a citizen. Most people say "immigrants are stealing our jobs" let me ask you something, would you work for $5-$8 per hour? i don't think sohow do they affect you?

Illegal immigrants can't pay taxes, especially if they're working for under minimum wage :dumb: You can't pay income taxes without a SSN.

1. If they are paid under minimum wage, which a lot more than that false estimate do; you can't be on an official payroll.
2. Sales tax is paid by them - that's about it
3. About 16 illegal mexicans can live in the same space as 2 average Americans - therefore property taxes are reduced.

1. That assumption requires them to be paid by a person and not a business or corporation, in fact I know an illegal immigrant who works at Wallmart.
2. Once again, that's the assumption they are working by people only. As well, they also may pay other taxes variant on what they are involved in.
3. That is a ****ing stereotypical statement, as well as just plain bigoted.

Actually, I speak of #3 from my experience. Around this area, business owners are notorious for this. Recently, the owner of a popular Chinese restaurant was busted for having 40+ illegal immigrants working for him. He apparently bought a large house and housed all 40 for free. They worked for well under minimum wage and were given free meals. Not trying to sound like a bigot.

Also, businesses can just as easily pay them with cash or off the payroll as a person can.
