I'm not new to this
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Do you think it is right for an illegal immigrant to be deported for a serious crime? For example, they are usually deported and face no charges. They can simply illegally enter the U.S. again and do the same thing if they wished. I believe that since they committed the crime, they should face the same consequences as a normal citizen who committed the crime.

I agree with you. If they chose to come and commit a crime here, they should face the same consequences as a citizen here.

It's easy to say that though. You're forgetting about all of the complications involved in such a decision.

e.g. What about the children of the convict? Should they be deported simply because their parent has committed a crime or should they be left in child care? Which crimes are worthy of a deportation and which are not?

1) Whatever is in the best interests of the children.
2) Murder, robbery(esp. at gunpoint), rape, things like that.

So it would be in the best interest of the child to relocate them when they are maturing into an adult, or just coming into the world?

Or would it also be in their interest to throw them into care?

It's quite subjective, that's why I wasn't more specific in my last post.

The point is neither of those situations are ideal for the child. You cannot punish children for their parents' mistakes.
