(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just thought I would post my thoughts on the candidates, and would love to hear your input. Note: I will only be listing main candidates at this point.

Barrack Obama
You must login or register to view this content.

Firstly, I would like to point out that I consider myself more of an independent rather than Republican or Democrat. Secondly, I am reanalyzing my political views still. In certain aspects I am not a fan of his economic policies and how they handle events. No matter what you say the first-second year of his presidency was all democrat control. As for healthcare, I am a fan for national healthcare, but not a fan of Obamacare.

Foreign policy wise I actually am alright. He is attempting to create relations with the Muslim world, which is necessary as Israel as our only ally there(Yes I know Saudi, but not a big fan of the term ally there). I can't give him much for Iraq and Afghanistan withdrawals as those dates were previously set.

A possibility (Which is odd for me to say considering I was never a big fan of his)

Rick Santorum
You must login or register to view this content.

Santorum is... something. Firstly, he opposes birth control. Now this isn't that large an issue if it's his views only. Except that he feels that insurers could choose to not cover birth control. When questioned if he was simply siding with his church's ideals he responded by saying he couldn't believe how siding with one's church makes them "out of mainstream". To add on, he has attempted to illegalize the selling of contraceptions. Yeah, because statistics totally don't say that would be a horrid idea. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a huge issue, but an issue nonetheless

Next, he has religious/education issues. He calls colleges indoctrination mills that take faith away. His words:
- “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely … The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country.”
- “62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it,” <- Didn't bother giving source

Then there is the fact he doesn't recognize separation of church and state as being "absolute". Give me a break, how the hell can this still be an issue.

He also believes... I don't even know how to word this. I suppose something like "Why consider other people's rights":
- "All of us have heard people say, 'I privately am against abortion, homosexual marriage, stem cell research, cloning. But who am I to decide that it's not right for somebody else?' It sounds good, but it is the corruption of freedom of conscience."

Santorum does not believe in the "right to privacy". Yep, everyone who is reading this thread right now has no right to not have their computer searched. Hell, you could go much father.

He stands against basic libertarian rights. Such as the right to be left alone... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! So religious organizations can be left alone all you want, but citizens get screwed!

Santorum has said, that if he became president he would force Iran to open up nuclear facilities or bomb the weapons facilities... nice to know our options

He also denies Global Warming in the lowest degree, saying it is an attempt from the left to control your life.

Yep, he's not it

Newt Gingrich
You must login or register to view this content.

Where to start? Most people are aware of Newt Gingrich's asking for open marriage with his wife (who was very ill). Honestly, to me I don't know how much that incident truly bothers me. As I see it more as just being selfish. What get's me more is the fact he is insane.

First, I'll start with the fact he is a huge suck up to Israel. For those who haven't seen the video,
. In it, Gingrich basically says Palestine is an invented nation as are it's people. Hmm Gingrich seems to forget Israel has only existed for around 50 years in the Middle East, and was in fact taken from Palestine. Now there are two possible scenarios, one he is just sucking up, two he knows little about foreign affairs. Now I prefer the first to be true, but at the same time one cannot let the second issue slide by. If in fact his knowledge of foreign affairs is this little, should he be handed power when the Middle East is heating up more than ever?

Second, he has some radical ideas, or just more sucking up. In Florida, you can watch the video here, Gingrich promises something that no one, I repeat no one, could possibly consider true. That he will build a moon base (keep in mind NASA is useless at this moment) and it will become a state. At least... wait what... it will be built by 2020! So in 8 years, he expects us to not only build a base on the moon (oh the complications), but create a method of transportation of supplies back and forth. Once again, he could be sucking up as Florida is a space state, but at the same time he does not give this appearance off. Side Note: I guess the US is claiming the moon

Not him

Ron Paul
You must login or register to view this content.

One thing you must keep in mind is his age, which is 76. This is somewhat concerning as it leaves room for his VP to take control over the situation.

He believes in little government. Now for me, I can see this as both a con and a pro. But as of right now I have to say that this would currently be a negative. More importantly, he wants to kill our Education and Energy cabinets (among others, but this disturbs me more). He continuously attempts to veto most proposals of spending or taxes (which can be concerning). He is right though in saying republicans have become the party of big government in certain aspects.

He does want to reform the CIA and end the overthrowing of governments(+ and -). At the same time he is very old fashioned in the sense he feels we don't need government for much at all. He wants to cut the corporate tax rate, eliminate capital gain taxes, which can be incredibly, incredibly messy(Just look at history).

Note: He also wants us to switch to the gold and silver standard
In summary, economically and socially he has a pretty laissez faire ideology.

Socially he is pretty laissez faire. He believes gay marriage should be legal, ending of prohibition, right to bear arms, etc... But exceptions: abortion(illegal), education he wants to tear apart, accepts global warming.

Just a little too radical and flawed in certain aspects.

Mitt Romney

He is mainly against abortion except in rare occurrences. Supporter of the death penalty. Against same-sex marriage.

I'll come back to finish this later

Obama, Gingrich, and Romney are bullshit artists who will say anything to get elected. Paul is naive and outdated, doesn't believe in the separation of church and state, and rejects evolution. Santorum is just batshit crazy.

As South Park put it, in the end our choice will always be between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

So welcome back everyone, we missed you... why you didn't all just do the fix posted on the Facebook page I'll never know, but still.

I thought I'd go though the candidates as you did and give it my own spin. I'll point out, this is coming from a British Libertarian Socialist so basically, as far as I'm concerned USA is fúcked regardless. But yeah...

Barack Obama

He's going to win this one. It's very rare for USA to vote out the president, even if a president is very poor once they're in office they're almost guarenteed a second term unless they screw up big time. On top of that, he'll have the black vote, and a lot of protest votes due to the excessive religiousity of the Republican candidates, but does he deserve it?

Obama is an awful president, so much so that I'd call him worse than George W. Bush... Yes, I just said that. Why? Because the man is just a black George W. Bush. Seriously, he's kept almost all the same policies going, the only difference is he's more eloquent which means people don't realise that he's an absolute arse. Obama's biggest problem is he lacks a backbone. He didn't close Guantanamo Bay, he didn't pass anything even close to a decent healthcare bill (and I really wish people would stop saying Obamacare like it's fúcking voldamort, the bill was so pathetic no-ones even noticed the damn thing), he hasn't pushed for any socio-political changes, he left the tax breaks for the rich alone. In short his "Yes we can" campaign was supposed to be him saying that he could institute change and all it proves is Obama likes Bob the Builder... Obama is one of the best Republicans USA has ever had, he somehow managed to convince the fúcking Democrats to vote for him, and you Americans wonder why other countries can't tell your political parties apart. They're identical.

Rick Santorum

I sincerely hope every American reading this feels dirty just looking at him.

This pathetic snivelling little prick is anti-everything. He's pretty much opposed to anything intellectual, be it the education system, science, technology, or social progression. He's a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, anti-intellectual, sexist, fundamentalist christian, authoritarian douche who quite frankly I wouldn't waste my piss on if he was on fire. It makes me literally nausiated to think this person is actually supported by a significant portion of your country. You should all me fúcking ashamed, you make me sick.

If this man is your president he will dismantle the education system, removed all forms of liberty, enforce his religion whether you follow it or not, and quite possibly start world war three. If you're considering voting for him, leave this thread, no, no, in fact, leave this forum, now... go on, fúck off, you're not worthy of being on the same website as me let alone worthy of reading my posts. Unless you're functionally retarded, anyone who wants to vote for this twat should be shot before they injure someone, they're a danger to themselves and everyone around them.

Newt Gingrich

Really... this man is called Newt? What the hell is wrong with you people, Newt? That's not a name... I know it's short for Newton, but guess what? THAT'S STILL NOT A FÚCKING NAME!

OK, I'm focusing on the wrong things here... why? Because he's not getting the nomination. Really he's just Obama in most respects but without the knowledge of the middle east, which considering how that's going, is probably a big issue. Still he's a damn sight better than Rick CumLube. For the Republicans really, it's either going to the psycho I mentioned above or the next delightful chap.

Mitt Romney

Seriously America? Another one? Mitt is not a damn name, and this time there's no excuse, it's not even short for anything. He's actually called "Mitt". Was his father playing baseball right before he was born and it was the only thing that came to mind when naming? Oh no it's worse... Mitt is his middle name. His first name is Willard! Which is STILL NOT A FÚCKING NAME!!! How hard is it people? There's entire books of baby names out there, why can't people pick an actual name otherwise you end up with people like Trig Palin, who seriously is named "Down Syndrome" Palin... that's not a joke. The medical term for Down Syndrome is Trisomy G, usually shorted to Tri G. Nurses therefore often call babies with Down Syndrome, "Trig Babies". It's a known casual name for the condition. Sarah Palin is so fúcking stupid that she heard the nurses call him a Trig Baby and decided to make it his name. How sick is that? But anyway on to Mitt Romney...

The man is Rick Santorum light, he's basically exactly the same as Santorum except he's a Mormon, which quite frankly should make everyone nervous. This is a religion that believes in Magic Underwear... seriously. They also re-wrote huge parts of the Bible so they could relocate it in USA for no good reason. Quite frankly this man is just plain retarded, he's not quite as hate inducingly evil as Santorum as he doesn't seem to oppose any scientific or social progress ever achieved with such ferver, oh but don't for one minute think he's a good candidate.

He's a fundamentalist, sexist, homophobic, duplicitous little bigot as well. He's anti-civil rights, he's against the seperation of church and state, he intends to ban pornography just like Rick AssCrack, but at the very least he's anti-SOPA... so that's nice... pity you've all got to be homophobic porn-free mormons to enjoy your video games. Oh but that's not the end of it, oh no. He may not start world war three, but he'll certainly bankrupt USA if he gets into power as he wants to INCREASE military spending, INCREASE corporate spending. This man intends to subsidise big corporations during a recession. This is what we scientifically refer to as snooker loopy. In short if you vote for this man, you can join the twats who voted for Rick Satorum because you're also a massive cúnt, not quite as douchy sure, but added stupid is in there to make up for it.

Ron Paul

Aaawwwww, it's cute. People actually think he's taken seriously. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Let's be honest here, no-one cares about Ron Paul. He's basically an idealist who's only kept around because he's too old for people to tell him to shut the hell up, they're afraid they may upset him. He's the doddering old man and it's cute really. Outside of NGU I haven't seen a single person take him seriously and actually say they want to vote for him, and I've not heard a single person on NGU over the age of 18 actually say they support him. Let's face it, the only reason people on NGU support him is because we have far to many pathetic stoners who think of nothing but smoking weed and playing Call Of Duty... that's it. The only reason they even pay attention is because Ron Paul said he'd legalise pot. Some stuck around long enough to hear him mention he'd pull out of the wars in the middle east, and at that point you've got the hippy double-bill. Anti-war, pro-drugs... Unfortunately all the stoners who support him are 14 years old and everyone else has realised that he's a doddering old man who'll probably die before the first term is up.

Still don't think he's a nice guy, he's still a fundamentalist, sexist, homophobic twat like the others... albeit slightly less anti-science, he actually accepts global warming, oh, but not evolution, that'd be going too far... (oh yeah, eveyone on this list except Obama is a Creationist, that should tell you something right there).

Ron Paul doesn't have a chance in hell...

-------------------------------

So basically it's between Barack Obama and either Rick Santorum or Mitt Romney, we all know this, an honestly, even though Barack Obama is one of the worst presidents USA has ever had, beat out by Richard Nixon and George W. Bush and that's about it (and even then, at least everyone knew George W. Bush was a moron), vote for Obama... PLEASE!!! The others are psychos and that's no joke. This isn't even a point of contention here. I'd vote George W. Bush back in before I'd even consider those people. They're worse than Sarah Palin... SERIOUSLY.

You know, regarding your post, I have to disagree in two places.

One is Obama is doing all he can. The house of representatives is primarily controlled by republicans. This isn't an issue, normally, as it would normally cause bills to be supported by both sides, and appeals to the majority of americans. This is an issue, however, because many republicans have decided to do everything in their power to stop whatever obama supports. This means obama cant get a hell of a lot done.

The second is your take on Ron Paul. First off, he doesn't support legalizing marijuana. He supports the decimalization of it, and treating it like alcohol. He wants people who get in trouble with it to get help, through counseling, rather than jail time. Also Ron Paul honestly isn't that old. Mccain is around 75 years old. Ron Paul also has enough support from people 18+ to have 61 delegates. That isn't a huge amount, but it's enough to show he's won a few elections, or came close.

Worth the Weight
According to the above posts I can see two things:

If he believes in religion he is imminently narrow minded and a twat.

And if he looks bad and has a funny name he isn't a worthy candidate.

Seems legit.

Ron Paul is the only person who actually knows what the fuck he is talking about, sure he is radical but he has a load of experience under his belt. Being old isn't a negative thing to me. He is most likely the only one who is telling half of the truth, again he may have some things mixed up but the approach the two people above took is just simply put: wrong. He's old, so who gives a fuck, he is the most intelligent out of the bunch, he was involved in military and was a doctor for who knows how long.

I hope you can tell this is sarcasm.

Obama sure, he just promises a shit ton of things, "I will withdraw the troops within 16 months blah blah blah" This guy isn't the brightest out of the bunch. I'd might even consider Bush over this smart ass.

I hate Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum. The candidates are terrible for this election.
