Post: Forum Feeling Dead?

RIP PICHU.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Am I the only one getting this feeling that the forum has been feeling somewhat dead in the last couple of months, it has those days where a lot of people are on and then its having those periods of time where there is, what it seems, no real activity....

(Also, to kinda prove my point, I doubt that by Friday this thread will have 30+ comments from different individuals telling me I am right or wrong).

I won't include myself. This is pretty good but I can tell you, about half the people here are people who are constantly on and I only set the bar 1/3 higher than the amount shown here. This is just a little test myself and for everyone else. I don't want to see another forum die, honestly I like NGU too much, although I don't agree with everything it does, it's a great forum. The moment a forum shows that it is dying, the chances of a full recovery is left up to chance, as time passes and new games are released, if people notice that the activity on a forum is decreasing, their incentive to join or remain active is less.

That is bad...

I'm not trying to be mean but, we have Media Team and yet I don't really see a whole lot of "Media" being passed on through the site, hell the video on the forum has remained the same for some time. I thought we were going to have videos every week, even one video a week shows life. The news, I hate to say it but "Link -> Find it here" and then lead us away from the thread is something I hate. I thought that Outsider had given the ability to link that thread with the CMS News Page so we can comment here and it shows up there?

It doesn't look too great when we do that.

Programming tutorial and Gaming tutorials:

I see some life in the gaming tutorials, I think if there was a submission feature for users to submit where the Media Team who specializes in gaming tutorials can look and review would be fantastic.

Programming Tutorial = Blow. Just admit it, no new content is really ever posted, not even snippets.

Yea, I've added to this but it is how I feel...

There are 746 online right now and it's 3:18 in the UK (most of the kids are in school) and about 10 in the US.

It's not necessarily the activity like people online it's activity like Gambler said just the lack of conversations, the lack of useful threads the lack of new activity.

Exactly. I really do agree with the Media Team when it comes to creating videos/gaming tutorial tips. The problem is, they don't really ever make any new content from what it seems like.

The reason why I personaly am inactive is because of school and sports. They take up alot of time.

i think one of the big problems might in fact be, the lack of modding in mw3. not saying i support it, but it would definitely bring some life into the site.

True, but MW3 modding isn't going to happen any real time soon. Plus, with 3.55 Rebug out, the only real people who will have the mods will be those who know how to do them, and they will be keeping them to themselves and probably keeping hidden so they don't get banned.

Doubt MW3 will have people trying to hack though, BO seems to be more suitable, especially with online. With BO2, we will have more people join the site, we just need to hope for some good glitches and such.

We need more sections for gaming though, I've said this before but we need more gaming sections, 10 different sections and 1 misc. 10 sections = newest and most active gaming.

If a game is released, then it becomes a new sections. When a newer game is released, then you look at the least active section and then replace it with the new game. You move all content from older section to misc.

This creates a misc section with many topics and 10 different sections with specific topics that will stay alive as long as people keep it alive.
