Well to start im not gonna say your right or wrong but one thing is diffrent from the US and Ireland you guys dont take anybody no matter what problem they have into your school like the US does! In the US we have alot lower scores because we except all, another thing is in your country your education is totally diffrent so how the heck can the world compare scores when there is no basis for the world to fall into!!!

We accept everyone into every school too... the only schools that wouldn't accept someone are the private schools.
And yes, we are taught more or less the same thing. The only difference is we aren't taught as much about American history.

What about the hundreds and thousands of Irish people who practically built America. America was built upon immigrants from the EU, the reason America is so powerful is because of how large it is, and think about it this way. America has over 300 million people in it. Ireland has about 5million, yet we are still one of the most respected, and well known countries in the world. Our economy was like the best in the world about 5 years ago, and then shit went down for everyone, in the EU and the US.

My final point is. At least we are taught how to properly write in Ireland

Im not gonna waste time to please you, but i will say your economy is way worse with a 14% unemployment and ares is 9%. The economy in the US was great before 2008 too!

Again, much much larger country is obviously mean a lot more jobs + the fact that there is a couple of million people in US prisons which are not counted as not having a job, where there is not even 5000 people in prison.
