(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I got my lip pierced about 3 days ago professionally. It was fine and only a little sore, i guess that was just because I just got it done. I have cleaned it 4 times every day with salt and warm water and rinsing the inside and outside of my lip. However last night at a nightclub it got a knock, today I woke up and it was very very sore and my lip was noticeably swollen. I cleaned it again with salt water and the swelling has gone down a little and no more pain. I can see that the back of the piercing is going into my actual lip, and there is a little whiteness around it, only a little bit. I'm quite concerned and hopefully one of you guys could hopefully give me some advise.

I believe this section is called "general discussion" therefore this thread is valid, unlike your post. Get back to work.

You might have the beginning of one, this is common in piercings. Have a doc look at it,to be sure, and get antibiotics if needed. Cleaning with a salt solution will not kill any bacteria found there, it is a good cleanser, but not for that.
