It was fine and only a little sore, i guess that was just because I just got it done. I have cleaned it 4 times every day with salt and warm water and rinsing the inside and outside of my lip. However last night at a nightclub it got a knock, today I woke up and it was very very sore and my lip was noticeably swollen. I cleaned it again with salt water and the swelling has gone down a little and no more pain. I can see that the back of the piercing is going into my actual lip, and there is a little whiteness around it, only a little bit. I'm quite concerned and hopefully one of you guys could hopefully give me some advise.

I'd thank your comment but I can't. Lip piercing is disgusting in my opinion, probably never kiss anyone with one of them.

Ya it's definitley getting there, my cartelige piercing started off like that then got really bad and I had to take it out...:FU:

I do look rather baby faced in those pics. Funny what 2 and a half years can do to someone.

If you have redness, pain, heat, yellow/green/brown/ or smelly discharge, and other nasty symptoms you may have an infection. If you've just got an irritated looking piercing with a little whitish discharge and some puffiness, you are most likely not infected.

DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE ON A PIERCING WITHOUT DIRECTION FROM A PROFESSIONAL. This means no hydrogen peroxide, no alcohol, no ointment. Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria

And always avoid touching, Never touch it with dirty hands.
