The 9/11 Attacks are probably one of the most discussed Conspiracies to-date.
The main question I hear people asking about it is: Government or Terrorists?
Now, I don't actually have an opinion on this so I'm just going to say 50/50.
If you watch the footage of the buildings falling, you see that the 110 story building falls down to the ground, like a controlled explosion.
Also, if you look at the footage of the metal support beams, which make up the buildings structure, you can see that they have actually been sliced or burnt at an angle, causing the top half of the building to slide over the edge of the bottom half.

I wen't to a controlled demolition of the Amway Areana in Orlando, Florida and it was very similar to the Tower fall after watching it over and over in slow-motion. The WTC also has some puffs of concrete come out the side below the dust cloud meaning that there was some sort of explosive used. After watching closer I discovered that there was some sort of molten steel coming out of the side of the building below the plan crash and white smoke was coming from below the towers meaning that someone placed thermite inside the building ( burning jet fuel can't cause molten steel) and people also reported white powder near the elevators. And right before the jet crash there was a explosion under the towers that caused the lobby windows and walls to blow. Disclaimer: I do not believe in the conspiracy its just that I find it odd that it seemed like a controlled demo and no standing beams where left standing after the pancake collapse.

Edit: There was also a building 7 next to the WTC the collapsed like a pancake.. What would of caused this one?

Been a couple studies into why the metal failed. It pretty simple science behind it steel gets hot enough it loses strength does not melt but that loss of strenght is enough.

I believe it was done by a group (9/11 plotters) and mistake failings led to it. Nothing hidden just a massive failure by a number of groups designed to protect us.

It takes 650 degrees to cause steel to loose some of its strength. There where no reports or interviews about extreme heat in the building which I don't quite understand and I listened to some audio files on the WTC "attack" and there where explosions even before the first plan hit which is quite weird I would say..

Plane crash and jet fuel , both ripped off the protection and started to damage the steel. It was only a matter of time before it failed.
Explosion sound was the steel breaking or bending on it self.

I believe the tempture was lower than 650C for steel to lose some of it strength.
Need to find the studies on it again.

Yes
It taking a strain so it bending. However it not alot it something like a 0.00001m difference.
When the plane crashs into the building it adds stress and goes over the factor of safety starts to fail. The heat means the strength is reduced and the weight was too much.

Although I wouldn't put it past the US government to do something like this, I'm inclined by the evidence to say it was just some severely misguided terrorists. Every conspiracy theory put out thus far as been refuted, as far as I am aware.
