if i was the driver of that truck i wouldve been pissed and hit the kid. its not like there was a crosswalk there. so the driver kind of had the right of way.

That was somewhat the drives fault for braking which led the kid to believe he was being ushered to go across the road, if the first car hadn't slowed down the kid wouldn't have gone out.
