I forgot to mention another reason why this was a dumb move by the cop: He shot in the direction of the crowd. If you watch closely, you'll see him shot in the direction of the crowd, but towards the ground. Luckily it didn't ricochet into the crowd...

Sad the dog died it was only doing what a good dog would do protect its owner.Most people see pitbull and instantly think oh fuck that dog its mean anyways yet they"ve never had a pitbull as a pet,never interacted with a pitbull. They let the media feed them bullshit and lies pitbulls are probably the most loyal,caring and protective dog breed their is. I have 3 and ive never had them bite or attack any of my family,friends,or any one else. They love children also

And to be honest that to me was a justified shot. I can bet you that most if not all would in the crowd screaming at the cop would have done the same thing in the heat of the moment. And to me the way the cop jumps almost indicates that he actually didn't fully mean to pull the trigger.

I would have shot. I don't know what that dog could have, I wouldn't want him to maul my legs and I'm not going to take that chance.

thats fucked . why would you even put out a gun on a dog. if it was that serious you could of at least tazed it. but even that is taking it to far.

Don't say taser it. That would probably electrocute the poor thing. Tasers are built to stop a 300lb man dead in his tracks, not a 40lb dog.
