Second, This topic is to discuss the best mobile OS between Android, WP7, and iOS.

I personally like Windows phone because metroUI is sleek, social networking features are streets ahead of Apple, and it's integrated with xBox live. It's also easiest for me to make my own apps for.

I don't like Android because I think it's clunky but I can see it's value to some, because of it's customizable-ness and it has a large app marketplace.

iOS is, to me, just bandwagon apple fanboy fodder 192381038 apps mean nothing if they're all duplicates that do the same thing. Oh boy! another flashlight app!

Seriously. Any important app is more than likely available on all systems, or just on android.

I personally prefer android. Installing custom roms, overclocking your phone, the way you can customize your phone and really make it personally fit to you, there are so many more possibilities with android. iOS is too locked down I like android being open source so anyone can modify it to there needs/wants.

I personally am a fan of iOS. This may be a little biased since I have not had the privilege to use a Windows phone yet.

When comparing iOS devices and Android devices I feel like the iOS devices just operate a lot smoother and have a nice professional look to them. The main complaint that people usually make about iOS devices is that they do not provide enough customization features/opportunities which is true but can be solved by jailbreaking your device (which can be inconvenient and cause problems). Devices based on Android OS always have very nice customization features, but for me this is not enough to put them over the iOS devices b

Nextgenupdate has never looked better on the S3 Winky Winky

After deep thought, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a S3. The screen is outstanding, and I can't even look at my old iPhone anymore. It's just puny. The removable battery and sd card slots are excellent features to have as well. Currently typing this out on my S3, and it's much smoother than my previous device was. Once jellybean comes out ios will have a lot to catch iPhone on. Project butter shows, and it's going to be very smooth.

By stating that I'm more than positive that he was referring to the actual design and capabilities of iOS or iPhones in general. That is a ridiculous and insular statement. The only genius Apple has demonstrated in recent years is how well they can reel in, and maintain their grip on, their pigeons (consumers). With every release of the iOS, Apple isn't "revolutionizing" anything; it is simply refining and implementing features that have been common for standard smartphones for years. Apple knows its business strategy and marketing tactics well, throwing around statements like "200 New Features" and "The biggest thing to happen"- just what the bandwagon riders salivate over.

Now, don't misinterpret my post as an attempt to bash Apple or the iOS. iPhones and the iOS are perfectly tolerable and adequate, but they certainly do not reflect the quality demonstrated by consumer hype.

Do a barrel roll!
In my opinion, all three phones have great OS's. However personally I prefer WP7, it was my reason for switching to a smartphone. The modernUI is superb, professional looking and runs buttery smooth, with WP8 coming out it's just going to get better from here on out. I'm currently on my 3rd WP7 device, 1st one (HTC HD7) I destroyed by going for a late night rendezvous with someone in the water, 2nd (Dell Venue Pro) I sold so that I could buy my newest phone (HTC Titan). I will definitely be upgrading to one of the new devices next year sometime. My mother also just bought her first smartphone with WP7 and she loves it!

The only real criticism I have of the OS is its developer restrictions which don't allow apps to run in the background apart from the live tiles. I think this is being improved in WP8, as I know Skype will be allowed to run constantly, but perhaps that is just because Microsoft own them now

I don't care for iOS at all, maybe it's just its over-saturation but nothing it has appeals to me. However I will admit that I was VERY tempted to switch to the Galaxy S3 when I seen it, that is one beautiful phone!

I prefer android especially if its rooted. I think there is a lot more customization than iOS even it is jailbroken. I dont know a lot about windows bc i never had one.

I was on the itouch 2nd gen and then the iPhone 4 for the past 3-4 years so iOS really grew on me, it's such a simple OS, anyone can use it, everything is laid out in front of you with no extra buttons to press or complicated settings etc.
It is a basic system and that is why it's successful and loved.

I recently bought a Galaxy S II (not SIII, too poor and the thing is way too big for me) and I'm loving it, had it for a week and enjoying the freedom, got a GBA emulator so I can play Pokemon (fuckyeah) and all the apps run smoothly along with having a strong battery life and can customise the battery and add in a micro SD (bought a 32gb for $20) so I have ~45gb of storage now which I love over the old wimpy 16gb.

Yet to take in the rest of what Android has to offer, but the only complaints I have are the music player and the notifications, which is probably just me after being so used to iOS, I use Doubletwist now but it's really dodgy, copies my files twice etc and just frustrating to use, and the notifications I need to adjust to starting up the phone and checking my notification bar rather than it just being there on my lock screen with previews etc.

I like both mobile Operating Systems, but have yet to try out Windows Phones
