I know this is a fairly popular topic amongst most debaters. I'm interested to hear what everyone's thoughts on the topic are

Good and evil are subjective terms, they are based on perspective. You cannot prove whether something is good or evil, as long as someone can justify it being one or the other, disregarding how rational or irrational these justifications may seem. I don't believe people are born with a tendency or nature to 'good' or 'evil'. With these being subjective, people grow and are influenced by events and experiences to form their opinions, which lead to actions that are seen as good or evil.

i dont think anyones born evil but then these been some pretty evil kids around who have killed people so who nos maybe some people really are?

to be honest the real question is what happens at the end?

I'd say neutral. Babies are born neither good nor bad. But until you learn the consequences for you actions then we will know if someone is inherently good/ bad
But it all depends on ones upbringing and the environment.

In my opinion, all humans are born equal. Unaware of their own personal situation, class classification and so on, so therefor I believe that everyone is born good but certain situations can turn a child or an adult evil. Just my summed up opinion

I believe that we are inherently good. Once a baby is given birth to, it starts off on a clean slate. Emotions and feelings is what causes the slate to go downhill.

Due to the simple fact i was raised going to religious schools, i understand that people are naturally born into sin because of the temptation that overcame Adam and Eve in the Garden. Now for clarification purposes, i said "understand" not believe. My senior research paper is actually on defining innocence. And taking into consideration the religious aspect, no one in this day and age will be fully innocent again. Now personally i disagree, but there is far to much thought and opinion to get my whole side of the story across but thats something i thought i should share.
