(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); SO I just found out I have to have a cavity filled next week.

Pretty terrified...well scared shitless actually. I'd rather take a 12guage round to the head than to go through with this.

Hate needles. Absolutely terrified of them. Doc said it won't hurt, and I won't feel a thing, not the needle or anything, but I know he's a blatant bullshit liar worse than Mitt Romney hell bent on causing people pain and exposing them to their worst fears.

Advice? Tips? Stories?

Getting a cavity filled is nothing, all they do is pack it with some shit (depends on what kind of filling you get) their should be no need for any type of pain, just maybe some minor discomfort or an odd feeling as you get used to they new "feel" of the filling. Now, if you had to have a tooth/ teeth extracted, that's a different story, than they have to numb your gums with a shot of Novocain, and if it's anything like when I had to have 4 teeth removed (to make room for my wisdom teeth, which still had to come out anyways as they were still crowding my teeth) the dentist didn't inject enough Novocain, so it hurt like hell for a minute.

I think maybe they were talking about a vasectomy? The surgical procedure for male "sterilization".

He is a BS lier lol, you will, with a doubt feel the needle going into your gum when he injects you with local antistatic, eveything else is painless, the most you will feel is a little pressing or pulling.

I suppose, you could always have a stiff drink before you go, thus numbing the needle a little? Maybe not the best thing to do, but it sure beats a General anaesthetic at a local Dental Hospital or Hospital. :p
