(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Say a new pill came out that would make you never have to sleep. Would you take it. If so how often and why.

Also, for the sake of this hypothetical scenario; this drug would have NO side effects, long term damage, decrease in quality of life, or any thing else like that. It would literally be like having 8 hours of sleep in one pill.

Sleep is important to the human mind along with bed makers who make a tiny profit off it the bastards!!!

It far too important to give up and gives your mind a break along with the body. If the pill gives all the benefits of sleep yea i would no disadvantaged not to use it

Yeah the pill would literally be like having 8 hours of sleep in a second. No side effects or anything.

Keep in mind a few factors though. That's living your entire life nonstop. Bad days you'd go 24/7. If a bunch of people took it think how competitive the world would be in terms of wars, races, etc. If you had a partner, could you truly be with them if they sleep for 8 hours while you're there awake. You might go get a 2nd job, think of how many others would do that and some people that have no jobs would never be able to get one.

It depends... If it wouldnt make me tired, then yea i'd probably use it. If it would make me feel 1 bit of tired, then i wouldnt use it. But it has pros and cons. Hard choice

Considering this is entirely hypothetical, and that the pill by no means endangers, or poses a threat to, life...Why not? An extra 8 hours of productivity would be significantly beneficial to social/family life, work/school environments, and ultimately personal satisfaction. According to the pills effects as you described, they could be used during the daytime to decrease fatigue and increase perceptiveness overall- further increasing productivity. Since you also stated that the pill will feel like "8 hours of sleep", that would also mean that mood and general attitude would be heightened- meaning that self-confidence and self-satisfaction would be enhanced. Considering all this, again, why not? (Assuming the pill would be equally distributed to, and avidly used by, all or most people)
