(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, so I have a friend that used to do harm to herself but has been clean for about a month, but she said the thoughts of suicide haunt her. So out of nowhere yesterday said she is leaving for a 'while' and said she didn't know how long or what will happen, but she left to a hospital for suicide treatment or something like that, they keep her overnight and she is there currently and cannot use cellphones, so I was googling like all day and could find shit, so I decided to ask you guys, can anyone tell me how long this lasts and what happens?
Thanks

Tell her about the butterfly project.

THE RULES:
1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker or pen and draw a butterfly on wherever the self-harm occurs.
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. NO scrubbing the butterfly off.
4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, it dies. if you don't cut, it lives.
5. If you have more than one, cutting kills them all.
6. Another person may draw them on you. these butterflies are extra special. take good care of them.
7. Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. if you do this, name it after someone you know that is suffering right now, and tell them. it could help.

This can seriously help her, it's helped some of my friends, you just have to set your mind to it and stick to it, draw one on your arm too, and write her name below it.

Well i can imagine a lot of thoughts would be a couple of months but its over when your friend is ready to be taken off the drugs/pills she will be given and can deal with the stress/anger or what life is throwing at here. There wont be a date for when here treatment is over because its something she has to overcome herself but having here friends, family around here will make here recover a lot quicker especially when shes off the pills.

Well sometimes talking to friends or family might be a bad thing. Think about it, if she texts her friend and her friend tells her about parties or some shit that were good and she was sorry she missed which might dampen her mood and not be good, or if someone brings up anything relating to the reason she is suicidal in the first place by accident it wouldn't be good. I'm sure family could meet with her while she is there and talk, but if she has a mobile phone and someone asshole gets the number and starts sending harsh texts and shit it wouldn't be a good thing at all..

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Well hopefully she can have visitors at least, other than parents. I would hate to be cut off from everyone else when I was going through a rough time.
