Post: Time Travel. Realistic? Yes or no
10-18-2012, 04:12 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have always assumed that time travel would one day be possible, but not in my lifetime, or even my kids lifetime. But I came upon an actual video that a guy has actually created one(a time machine), just not like TV and movies portray them to look.

I can't help but think that this has to be somewhat realistic. And it got me thinking to what people would be able to do with this, whether bad or good.

So do you think time travel is realistic? Or if not now with today's technology, but in the near future?

BTW, HackForums couldn't take this seriously worth a shit...at least watch the video and see what I'm talking about.

Basically...

Theoretically and on papers, yes it is possible. Even though, practically it will never happen. If you would like some proof, if such as a thing was possible in the foreseeable future, wouldn't some guys ( or idiots at least) come back and tell us/mess with us?

Time travel is 100% possible, but as far as it being realistic? It's not going to happen soon. I don't know if you know this but traveling near the speed of light is kinda hard.. xD

Time travel into the future is possible, but not into the past. Pretty cool stuff though.

Only way to time travel is to bend space and we will never be able to accomplish that so the answer is no.

Never say never, we dont know that for sure, and as life grows, so to do we along with it.

Thats very true, but you must remember, humans won,t be here long enough to accomplish this,we as a spieces are not smart enough,it would take millions of year for humans to evolve to accomplish this ,but like i said we wont be around.

Time travel is available and/or possible in your imagination.

If time travel were a possibility then surely it would have already affected us. People from the 'future' would be here changing things for themselves. It would inevitably end in the destruction of the world.

It's possible yeah... But doubt we'll see it in this lifetime

thanks to time dialiation and special relativity laws it's possible to move forward through immense amounts of time and space but youd be far in the future, easily ending up where you started and many many years in the future
imagine arriving upon your destination; the future, all of your kids, parents, grandchildren and many generations after that have already lived their lives and moved onto death, the real final destination
time travel isnt my cup of tea haha
they think time isnt a constant and theres much to be understood in the quantum with it's effects on time or if it actually is partially responsible for time itself
anyways this is only mildly relevant but technology could premit such a feat, I mean 100 years ago they were just understanding light, relativity, special relativity and quantum mechanics
hell with out the discovery of the electron nothing you see in this century would be possible so who knows what the higgs will bring to the table when it comes to understanding basic forces like gravity
