(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Honestly, I think the answer is quite clear. I could type out all of the information and statistics, but I think that this video just about sums up the importance of NASA. (I also recommend part 2)

I am creating this thread because I am curious if anyone here disagrees, and why they disagree. I don't see any reason not to raise NASA's budget from 4/10 of a penny to one penny on a tax dollar, to an individual person I doubt an extra 6/10 of a penny would be noticed.

It would really be a shame to see NASA die out someday due to lack of funding, and I hope that someday NASA's budget will return to the point where they are able to fund missions to the moon, missions to mars, and advance deeper and deeper into space.

Yes.

Simply answer.

i say no only because finding new tec advancments is great, but as for space travel, and finding new plants whats the point, humans will not be around long enough to ever time travel or space travel, we are and always will be stuck on earth so whats the point? For people that truly think humans will be able to time travel ,which is what is needed to travel through space your dead wrong, humans will not last half as long as dionasures,we are to destructive and always will be so giving nasa more money to do what?is a waste give it to the military and reserch for new advanced weapons to protect.

The point is, we live in this modern era. After thousands of years people actually ask themselves: how did we get here. Is there anything more. how does the universe work.

There are so much things on this earth which after all weren't that usefull after it was found out. But hey, if you know everything in advance, what's worth living for?

That's a pretty pessimistic thing to say...
First of all, NASA is not looking to find a way to travel through time, they're looking to take steps one at a time going deeper and deeper into space (Moon-->Mars-->?). Secondly, you think that space exploration is about finding new plants? Not quite. New organisms could be found, but that's probably not NASA's priority. Even so, finding new organisms could have endless benefits! A new organism could contain something unique and different from any organism on Earth, which can help make major advancements in biology.

This is a whole other argument within itself, but this is by no means a reason to just give up on everything. With that logic, why do anything in life if you're going to die in the end?

The military already has a satisfactory budget, adding a half of a penny to a tax dollar isn't taking away from anyone but the person paying the tax. And give it to "reserch"? Where can this "reserch" be done, huh? I'll give you the answer: NASA.

You can't say that with certainty. If NASA receives more funding, they would be able to travel deeper into space SOONER, so wouldn't someone that's for whatever reason worried about not being around long enough want to get these things accomplished as soon as possible?

point is if we can not find a new planet to live on we are screwed, and we can never travel that far ,so yes time travel is nessarry ,study, ing our own solar system like mars ect..is a waste of time and money,The only life forms that will ever be found is out of our solor system and we will never get there so why bother.

First of all, you shouldn't try to predict the future like that. A person from the 1600's may have said that he will never be able to communicate with someone on the other side of the Earth, but we found a way. We currently know very little, and there is much to be discovered, so I find it very difficult to say that we will "never" travel far outside of our solar system.

Secondly, please explain what you keep referring to when you say "time travel". Are you referring to wormholes?

If you aren't for funding space travel and the sciences you are halting progressing into the future, as well as exploration, and any hope of utilizing the universe

YOU GUYS seem to miss the point that humans will be one of the shortest living animals on earth we won,t be here that long and as for this statment 1600's may have said that he will never be able to communicate with someone on the other side of the Earth/ that is a blip on the earth scale humans will never get smart enough to travel through space we as a spieces do not have that intellegence level and wont even through eveloution because humans wont be here thast long it,s common knowlege in every science magazine. We would have to be here for at least 2-3 times as long as diono,s and that wont happen,so you,s the money to help humans on earth because at the end of the day this is where we will remain untill the end.
