(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Evening all,

We're trying to gauge if vBookie is still a popular feature.. we understand some of you still enjoy it but we have to look at it in proportion with the entire user-base and decide if it's still used as much as it once was and is worth keeping.

Please vote in the poll and we'll make a decision that we feel is best for the website and its users. The results of this poll (yes to no ratio) will not make up our decision in its entirety, as although I would expect it to favour 'yes' (as the people who would bother voting in this are likely to be in favour, those who aren't are just disinterested) it is more of a matter of how many people do.

Who cares? As long as I put up an event and someone bets on it then job accomplished. A tedious task but still a task to help the site.
Whatever brings people to the site.

So..by Merkii Logic. Lets get rid of "Everything" but PS3 and Xbox section. All other is not gaming...Screw auctions..that isn't gaming. Get rid of REP and vBux because that isn't gaming. We only need 3 sections. Wii, xbox, ps3. Because this is a gaming site.

Yeah...that sounds stupid......I don't agree with that....

Like Virus said, you want to bring users to the site. And vBookie brings in 'extra' people that isn't looking for just gaming. But in turn they do use the gaming part I"m sure. I mean seriously there is 0 reasons to really get rid of it. It literally is "Not" hurting anything.

*vBux inflation*
REALLY? It is a FAKE MONEY! It is literally a number in an INT11 database! It is not real. If I have 999999 Million or 50K it don't effect you the least little bit.

I want to add also, that 'betting' on events itself could be called a "Game". So it could be considered a "gaming" thing.

/facepalm
Of course inflation effects things. They divided vBux by 10 and limited vBookie bets to 5k to try stop inflation but then were forced to change it back after everyone complained. Inflation always matters, what's the point of having vBux if it's not controlled.
Hardly fair that some can have 100 million and then others struggle to get past 1 million. I always only had 100k or so until someone randomly gave me 1million. I tried to buy stuff in auctions with that 1 million but 1million is useless now, unless you want youtube views. Everything else is now being priced in the 10s of millions when they used to be 500k.

I'm sorry but saying it isn't fair that some have millions of vBux and you don't, or someone else don't is completely unfair to this debate.

vBookie is available to you also. Go bet. Maybe you win. You get vBux. Then the price increase of things is ok to you.

And the "Millions" everyone wants in auctions is becuase a handful of people payed it once, now everyone thinks it is worth that. Just because you don't have the vbux(funds) don't mean they are ruined by people having them. You can use vBookie, just the same as me.

But what does it matter? You said, that vBOokie has nothing to do with gaming, so it shouldn't be here. So you shouldn't be in auctions either, it has nothing to do with gaming so it shoudln't be here either should it?

I do agree though, that people without the millions it may "Seem" unfair. But is is not unfair. It is only one persons fault for not using the feature to gain millions of vbux. That person is "Yourself".

vBookie is there. Instead of saying it is not right for people to have millions, or saying that "inflation is hurting the site". Why not just use the site how is made, and use vbookie.

What is worth 10 million + in the auction section?

Fuck you if you voted no. (Sorry Winky Winky )

Okay but seriously, I love vBookie, I suggested it, I was vBookie mod for a while (yes on and off) and it was somewhat 'hard' work I guess you can say, it does take up some time to do everything as mod, but it's hella fun. vBookie mods get little credit and I guess I was lucky enough to work my way up to regular mod; if that's something you like doing, being mod for the site and helping it out, that's cool & kudos to you. Just because you're not mod (and don't want to be) and think vBux is pointless doesn't mean we should get rid of it. Seriously what's a point of getting rid of something from the website? Is it that much harm? Is it 100x more work for the admins? Am I missing something here? There's so many other sections that don't get posts or activity in them but their still there right? They're causing so harm whatsoever right? Keep vBookie. I admit a lot of times it's dead with posts, but people still bet on it.. Why not advertise it more? All I ever see in the shoutbox is hacks for COD, and more COD bullshit, but never vBookie? But hey let's put the link in the notice to GET RID OF IT, that's fucked up. I love talking about sports and wish I could do it on a daily basis somewhere, so I do it here once in a while, sure a lot of people don't know we have a sports section & maybe we don't have people who are sports fans or rather talk about COD but hey maybe we'll get more people like me, I know a lot of people on the site right now who always talk sports in the shoutbox... But hell I guess for some of you vBux is useless, for others they use it in the plazza and buy out people for hacks and shit, whatever, yeah maybe it is pointless but it's still fun to use in vBookie because of the fact it's like fake money, I think it's cool and I still bet on vBookie lot even though I never use vBux and have a lot of it, maybe I'll fucking give it to someone randomly, who knows, maybe we should have those random contests again when people use vBux to buy slots, I don't know, I just find getting rid of vBookie is so stupid, I pride myself on this section when I was mod of it and still love it. The mods today are great and post every day for the people, why waste their time and have every thing we've ever did be a waste? It's dumb.
Things were nice when I was mod, does the section need help? I'll gladly come back to be vBookie mod and help save the section, I'll post every fucking day and have contests and shit and everything if you want. Don't get rid of the section, what is it doing to you?

/rant.

Where did you get shoutbox and mini mods from? Someone isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. The removal of vBookie is most likely inevitable. People are just bitching about it to bitch about it. But you're right it's the most active thing on ngu. It attracts members from far away places. Not like it's probably the same 30-150 people that use it but whatever. Plus if it gets removed who cares. Deal with it. Shit constantly gets removed or changed. Plus ngu recently re-branded itself for a reason so I'm sure the removal of vBookie goes in part with it. If you don't like what is going on feel free to go to another gaming forum or make your own.
