Everyone in my family is catholic but I honestly don't care much for religion, and Sofakingsmart to answer you're question, the only thing I can think of is one of the religions believes that a priest is actually a holy person and the other thinks he's just another person with contact to god

Catholicism is a form of Christianity. In fact it's the original version of Christianity...

Either way they both believe in god and Jesus so who cares? It should all just be called Christianity.

It is Smile. Catholicism, Protestantism, Baptism, etc. are all classified under Christianity. So really, this thread should be called "Which way do you like to interpret the Bible?"

well christian means you have a personal relationship with Gos which Catholics don't. Catholics believe to get to God you must first go to the priest because were not holy enough to talk to God. The Bible teaches against that and says to have that personal relationship. I like the Holman Christian Standard Bible.

Ignorance of Catholicism. The Catholic Church frequently encouraged us to pray, talk to god, etc. when I was a member. You don't even need to go to church, you just have to be baptized.

Religion is one of the major things that keeps the human race seperated. I know this is an impossible task, but if the world can rid of religion it can rid of hundreds of other problems. I am not an athiest nor am I agnostic, I just believe the world is what it is and knowing the meaning of life and how it came to be is not something I am at all interested in.

But my question to all you religious people on the forums, why is it that after all the scientific evidence that disproves almost everything in the bible, you keep on believing?
