For me now. Direct download.
Why? Find the right site to download it from and you're laughing.
i used to 500kbps on torrent, now with download manager I get 1.6mbps more or less all the time.

Ye, I was a torrent user before, and if I need something I can't get by direct download then I will use torrent.

Torrents are much faster if you are an experience user of the internet, i recommend direct downloads to the noobs or those who are getting extremely small stuff.

Its depends on what you're downloading. If it's something new like a movie then torrents are the way to go. However, if the file is only it's probably better to go DDL because of the lack of seeds.

i use direct downloads most of the time but as you mentioned in your op if your lucky enough to part of the whole invite only torrent sites than they are equally as good as at the end of the day both can/will max out your download limit so it isnt really a case of speed when your on an inv only site just a case of availability and imo i think theres more ps3 games on offer for direct download...
