(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); After numerous, in-depth studies were conducted, someone found out 98% of NGU is liberal. That being the case, democrats deserve a thread of their own to discuss politics.

Note: That "98%" stat was just a joke referencing You must login or register to view this content.

P.S. Don't forget to vote in 2014 so we can take back the house and start making real progress

It's not like it's a game show or something. It just keeps people up to date with the voting and who won.

Its a lot more serious then other things, but it is a competition so...

Anyway cheers to another term of wastefulness. Good graces to all who will donate to worthlessness and severe backpedaling and amen to the white house.

Any update on these unconstitutional laws being passed?

true, it is a competition. but thats not really what im getting at. I stayed up over in rainy old england until 6am watching the election. The only thing that came from it for me was that it seemed too showy and a waste of good money. You dont need a huge stage with 300 plasma screens and confetti everywhere to announce a winner. Nor do you need two people sat in a studio reporting on it like its a sports type competition.

I guess it's just that america likes to be showy and extravagent, im just not used to it. Im sorry to have been a bit off topic. but im the worst type of person, (so ive been told), i dont vote because the way its determined is wrong imo. But hey, maybe things would be different if i lived in america and maybe i would vote, but in the uk, not a chance.

Also, surely you would agree that politics has become far too much about competing with other parties rather than actually focusing on the greater good of the country itself. I read just today that david cameron gave some speech on 'how the conservative need to beat labour'. Last time i checked, the idea isnt to beat the opposition by trying directly to beat them, but by putting forward the best ideas for a country.

Not for me im afraid, i love reading about politics, but my involvement stops there.

Meh. I mean it's part of the media's job to cover these kinds of things. As for the speeches, it's used with campaign money and has just been a custom to give one after an election. The money used for that wouldn't even make a scratch on the deficit.

America= Hi lets waste more money.

That's how a lot of people live their lives here as well.

I can understand where your coming from though, but here voting hasnt been making much of a difference these past few years, actually i personally believe voting wont do much, the rest of the senate is full of shit imo, the only way the public will be taken seriously is if those blimey suits start doing their jobs correctly.

The only reason the media covers it so hard is so the rest of the world can know about it, but its important that the people in america are given the benefits, where are the benefits?

In Flames Much?
I would like to see the min wage in the USA increased, not seen many Democrats calling for that which is a bit sad. After all the 1% has been taking a bigger slice of the pie compared to the 99%.
Anybody else think it's a good idea.

Even a small increase is meant to boost demand and jobs based on the studies.
