This person decided that God wasn’t the type of God he thought he SHOULD be. Well, I hate to break it you, but I’m pretty sure that a mere video game player living on the West Coast of the USA is not going to have everything in life figured out to where he knows how a higher Deity SHOULD act. If you know everything there is to know in this universe, I would be, 100%, more than happy to have a conversation with you, simply so that I could learn the way everything works in this universe.

Since you do not have any source stating how a higher deity should be acting, I am going to put your statement in my bag of bullshit.

It doesn't take infinite knowledge. If you ask small children, they will tell you burning people is wrong just because they don't believe in you. I am more moral than your god. I do not commit homicide, genocide, tell others to rape, so on and so forth.

It's called the Bible. It talks about how God acts and all that, you should read it some time, so you can have something to base your arguments off of.

this is why there's more members on ngu to talk about the bible.
The bible is just useless literature to me. If i read the bible and came back to argue on about then... everything i say to you will be a lie because the bible has no facts in it. i think a pop up book has more meaning than the bible. Also you might want to lay in a corner forever cause you obviously had a rough time during your school years in science class.

I happen to annihilate my science classes, just fyi. Also the Bible is a historically accurate book, just because it is religious, does not mean it doesn't accurately display history.

You are so ignorant it is incredible.. The Bible is a series of journals, letters, etc. Not a useless piece of literature.

Another point, who is to say that Religion and Science don't fit together? I mean, Intelligent Design is a very possible concept and does not say that Evolution is incorrect in any way possible.

And you know how to act oh wise one?

I have seen both sides of the coin Coltz. I have talked to people who have Masters/PhDs ranging from Computer Science to Physics, and told me why they believe in Agnostic Atheism or Atheism. I have listened to church leaders and why they believe, and from that I started basing my own opinion. I simply do not believe in a god because there is no evidence to support it.

I am just saying I trust in science because it is right all the time. It is based on facts that have been proven, where religion has not.

So is Mein Kampf.

Because religion bases on faith and science is based on fact.

I would quote from textbooks, but because I returned most of them, its a little hard to quote from them. So all I can use is my brain.

It just makes sense to me that when one dies he is no more. Just like the way one was before he was born.

I mean, its pointless to have an argument with you because you are always going to default on the "faith" argument, which nobody can rebute. I mean, I believe there is an imaginary flying spaghetti monster floating above me and nobody can disprove that.

And why, exactly, don't you care what happens to us? Are you really that uncaring for your fellow man that you would knowingly stand by while they are sent to eternal torture and suffering.

Now I ask you, if you have any evidence of what you claim, then present it now.

Maybe I did threaten you but didn't actually mean to. I was only saying but it turned out to sound like that.

I do care for all people but when people say things to me like 'there is no god',then I have every right to hate. Normally I'm a kind person but when that happens I get angry.

Oh and I do have evidence but I've been told by my brother to stay out the argument.

On some accounts, yes it can be historically accurate, but on others it can be completely off. For example, there isn't a single source outside the bible that says the israelites were held as slaves in egypt. Not one.

It contains some very good moral teachings from Jesus, yes. He had very advanced moral values for the time period he lived in. It also has very bad teachings as well though... such as put witches to death, kill young men who drink too much, slavery is ok, kill people who disrespect their parents, etc.

ID is very possible, yes. But then again, so is the flying spaghetti monster (you're probably tired of hearing that one just as i am, but it's a good argument =/). The point is, where's the evidence?
