(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just a random thought but ,could you actually die in a dream because When your dreaming of like falling from a height you always wake up before you hit the bottom? Also when you have a dream like this you instantly wake up either sweating or your heart rate is really fast, could this affect you in reality?

Nope, I've died in numerous dreams I've had and I just start another dream once I've died. The way in which I did varies but usual I get shot in the head and I'm just laying on the floor which then goes into a new dream.

You never DIE. You just get shot and the scene changes. Dying in dreams is just waking up.

Maybe we're dreaming now, and when we're 70 years old we will finally wake up? nom sayin?

Got to a waist high wall and crouched down next to him looked over the wall and a bullet went through my head, I fell to the floor and everything got dark and I can't remember the dream I had after that.

Haha my dreams like that usually end by getting killed some way or by getting eaten by a shark.

I dunno if you can, but I've have dreams where I've gotten killed in awkward ways... similar to 'bad luck' deaths in BF3 lol. The only other time that I've actually felt like I did die was when I had an out of body experience. I felt so scared and it was bizarre afterwards, but it will be an experience that I'll remember for the rest of my life.

Also when dreaming the logic part of your brain shuts down, so even if your head was chopped off you wouldnt even realise.

what about the placebo effect.
placebo effect is when a patient feels better because they think treatment is helping them--even if the treatment actually has no medical benefits. Some people say this is the reason that things like "psychic healing" work--the patient expects their condition to improve, so it does.

so what if your brain thought your dream was real and stops sending signals to your organs and stuff

2 problems with that statement, dreams arent medical treatments, so the placebo effect doesnt do anything in them,
2nd.. the logical part of your brain shuts down when you sleep, IF you get shot in the head 20 times you WONT die because your logical part of the brain doesn't realise it should be dead. Trust me, if we all died after we die in a dream there would be NO ONE left on earth.
