Gamers do not need a whole slew of 25 but just one or two. Don't get me wrong I love dogs and have all my life but a dog is actually bad for gaming.

  1. Gamers need cats because they sleep a lot and keep company. A cat will perch up onto your desk and happily snooze away in a ball while you dice lions. They will sleep and do not complain or give a bother therefore allowing you to maintain your much needed focus for that 500% ticket bf3 conquest match. This keeps you from getting lonely while not bothering you.

  2. If those mid-match lobby intermission times are too long a cat can keep you company. Just reach a hand over and he will love you to touch his ball-o-fur. Not furry balls. I don't think cats take too kindly to groping of that matter but I can't say I have experience. Never the less a little pet will carry you all the way through your intermission.

  3. Cats don't whine. Well mine doesn't at least. They will not beg for you to pet them and not scratch your door down, or jump on you expecting a treat. They just mind there own business and keep to themselves. Out of all the cats I have owned (1) they have never been as needy as a dog. On the flips side dogs are better overall and more fun but hey, you aren't going to be playing fetch during arma 3 right?

This is probably the biggest waste of space on the nextgenupdate servers possible. But hey, its something I have noticed for quite a while.

EDIT** I have a feeling some of these comments were suggesting I just use my cat for when I am gaming and pet it for 45 seconds every day. That is not the case. I just dont like to wrestle with him on my desk. I give my cat plenty of attention and care for him greatly. Just wanted to make that clear.

My cat is just fat and lazy. It is very timid and follows you EVERYWHERE.

After having cats for a couple years have to say I love the things. Each one is different, timid ones I find are the best hunters :/
When they are older they go back to a kitten like state.

My cats are very unhelpful with gaming as one is dumb enough that he will just sit there and meow at me for ages for company, even if i'm the same room. While my other cat will come and sit on the keyboard because she knows my attention is on what's on the screen :P, and even if I chuck her off she will always come right back..

P.s Here are some cute pics.. and yeah my cat is secretly an owl :p

I am more of a dog person myself, but I like cats too ^^.

Never really thought about pets and gaming though, but I like dogs love for their owner. Some cats just don't really care about their owners, dogs are better companions in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. Dogs are more fun to play with and stuff and are a lot loyaler. fortunately for me my cat has an excellent demeanor. He really respects me and is very trustworthy (as far as you can trust a cat) :dumb: .

But for gaming cats tend to chill more and sleep and such as apposed to dogs jumping around like play play play play play feed me play.

I prefer a cat over a dog too. Dogs can be really annoying sometime
