(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); now, im refering to the vegans that dont eat meat because they believe that we shouldnt treat animals like that and its wrong, equality and such.

my teacher is a vegan and im a steak on the barbie kinda guy. we often discuss this issue.

she belives that we would not want someone to slaughter us, marinate, then cook us so why do we do it. and she always ends with "its INHUMANE"....

saying honestly, cows are cows not humans, i believe that we humans are the superior race in this.

what do you guys think about this?
would like to hear your responses

sorry if i offened anyone in anyway (did i?).

Honestly, coming from a failed vegetarian, Vegans have a point. Morally speaking, I would argue that eating and the methods of slaughtering these animals is morally wrong although the counterargument is that animals eat other animals in nature. Although that is true, the fact that an intellectual species like humans can contemplate the morality of eating animals makes it immoral to do so. That being said, coming from a practical stand point in terms of economics, agriculture, and health, it is actually incredibly stupid to be eating meat of any kind. It makes more sense to become a vegetarian based on the idea that 90% of the energy use to feed that cow is "lost," unusable to us and we only get 10%, it makes more sense just to eat the producers. Also coming from a health stand point a diet high in meat is actually not healthy and we should focus more on greens and legumes.

Do just because we are superior we have the right? They have just as right to live as us so with that being said we have no right at all. Who cares if we get slaughtered. I mean.. hey let's make cows then eat them! They could have done many thinhs and they have feelings too whether they can interpret or not. So in the end does it matter? Humans aren't willing to sacrifice meat even if it is the moral thing to do.. oh well.

Pretty much summed up my views. I'm also a failed vegetarian, but I plan to eventually get back to that once my monetary situation has improved and I have some culinary skills.

Im a vegetarian for about 4 years now and I'm proud of it. I really like animals and because we don't need meat to survive I won't eat them.

Humans by nature want meat. There is nothing wrong in killing animals to eat, it is human nature and it is something that we have been doing since the dawn of time. Vegans are free to do their thing, but please do not intrude on my liberty to eat meat, spare me about how it's morally wrong. To suggest that not eating meat is healthier is baloney. You need lean meat if you want to actually grow properly and get the proper nutrients for muscle development, and red meat is needed for B vitamins. Supplements are not a good substitute as you do not get the energy associated with say for example eating a steak.

I don't mind if you're vegan, but I just can't do it. I need meat!

What pisses me off though is when vegan places try and imitate with their vegetarian steaks and what nots. Like, GTFO with that shit. My sister got me to go to a vegan restaurant and I got this burger... holy fuck was it disgusting.

In all fairness, whilst usually they're just not the same, I have recently come across some vegetarian sausages that under the grill are just as good as the real thing in my opinion. They're out there but they're hard to come by.

Yea I guess good stuff is out there. Just from what I've experienced, I haven't been very satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I love vegetables. But I can't solely depend on them. I gots to have my protein! lol
