I think that he endangered our country and that he needs to not be a little b**ch and come back to the U.S and face what he did.. He Is a traitor and half of the stuff he said was already known when bush was president

I actually do have a reason why I am pissed about this douche... In case you didn't know I am in the U.S Navy and when he leaked all this classified info we all couldn't believe someone would do something like that and threaten the people of this country basically.. Yeah it wasn't right but most of it was already known and little wasn't known

You're really going to hate this, but my uncle used to work for the NSA and he has no issues with the actions Edward Snowden took. He didn't threaten the people of the United States, he threatened the tyrant government and all their unconstitutional actions which the current administration is known for.

The following 2 users say thank you to Rath for this useful post:

In Flames Much?
Not sure.
Does put a light on a dark hidden subject but still not sure what data is collected in along with which cases. If it only when we believe people are doing something wrong I'm fine with that as long they drop it if nothing is found. However if it's a massive data collection program I'm not okay with that.
Do I believe we should put more money into a program like this over fixing the cause no. I do believe they should have the tools along with support killing it off at the root. Not just guns but with people on the ground making sure nobody can spread a message of hate. US is already helping with health care in some nations has been reducing the risk of attacks.

What is worrying nobody talked about this before or checked the control measures in place worked.

A hero or a scape goat so the government can reenact SOPA. Much like they're doing with these staged shooting to violate our second amendment with a unconstitutional gun grab, so when they enforce martial law we have no firearms to defend ourselves with.

I believe that he did this country no harm, informing the citizens of America about their privacy being blatantly intruded upon is not a crime, but actually the RIGHT thing to do.

Now, his actions did in fact intrude upon our government's criminal activity, which I think has [the government] way too much power and deserves to be judge according to their own laws established. The president [and every president] and everyone in government always preaches about accountability, yet they hold no accountability to their own heinous actions.

They [the government] will say that these people that expose them are bringing harm to all of us, trying to scare us into a frenzy like a herd of sheep, but in reality we are an evolving people in an increasingly less free country, who many are waking up to the fact that we don't need a government like the one we have, and the government is trying to put a lid on it.

I hope for more and more whistle blowers on a daily basis, because no matter how gruesome truth is, it is always more refreshing than being kept gagged and blindfolded.

In my opinion.

im glad he did this.. they think they can do everything, violating the privacy..
and the reason they always provide is the same over and over.. terrorism..
its like terrorism is the word to let them do whatever they want..

respect to snowden, he knew he would be the black sheep, risking to get in prison and it didnt scared him off to let the american ppl know that their privacy gets violated..
The NSA would only went further and more extreme in violating the privacy if this wasnt leaked, they would probablycontact all the dentists inthe US or so and when you go there for a checkup they put a chip somewhere so they can track ya 24/7..
or they contact some car company, and forces them to build tracking tools standard in it.. i doubt any1 would even notice that..

Hero, I value my privacy and he's exposed just how much snooping the American government and corporations that aid the American government plus to a certain extent the British Government (GCHQ) do to make sure you don't get your privacy and they get their "security" from the terror threat. I mean what would you rather have a society where you can't do anything without the government watching but feel "safe" or a free society where there is the threat of terror attacks. I mean we wouldn't even be facing the threat of terror attacks if our countries didn't keep sticking their noses in where they're are not wanted I'm glad the UK isn't going to be getting involved in this developing Syria business.

Also, even if there really is huge amounts of surveillance going on though, the government were still unable to stop the two Russians at the Boston Marathon from causing a disaster. What scares me the most though is that if I somehow got hold of a bomb it would be no effort at all for me to get on a rush hour train from London and blow myself up killing hundreds of people and causing mass hysteria. We have huge amounts of security in some areas and yet none in others, it's just strange.
