(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU,
I really haven't seen a thread like this so i figured i'd start one. I'm here today to ask you about what you guys think about piercings, tattoos and everything in-between. i myself happen to have snakebites and 1" stretched ears with more upcoming piercings. There's a lot that goes along with it. be it discrimination, Stereotypes, good attention or bad. i'v had jobs that have turned me down because of it and im sure i'll have more. so im asking you guys why you think that is. is society that narrow minded that if you don't conform to what everyone else wants you're automatically an outcast? im sure some of you will have the typical "FuCk da PoiCe, Fuck ya Parents, if it makes you happy, do it" kind of answer. But whats your view on body mods? do you have any? would you get any? would you allow your children to get any?

I personally would never get any form of body modification, nor would I really want my child to get one either. However in a free society I don't care what people do to their own bodies, they are responsible for themselves and will have to deal with it on their own. I never saw a point to doing things like body modifications, to me it is just something like smoking, it's pointless and doesn't really accomplish anything for your well being in my eyes. However like I said, while I am personally against it for myself, I have no problem with people who do have body modifications, and I have quite a few friends who do have them. I don't think any less of them for having a body modification done, but I would just never envision myself having one.

I'd turn you down for the job too... If you have to work with customers face to face and you have snake bites and stretched ears it sets a bad image for the company.

Personally I don't like tattoos, but I do however like the type of tattoos that are more art than criminal shit or horrible little tribal bands etc. For instance, spoiler related. Stuff like that it's really quite impressive also in general some sleeve tattoos look very nice.

Piercings however I don't really like on men, they just look stupid.

to be honest i'd rather work for someone who pays me based on my performance rather than how i look in a suit and tie. but i understand companies have to look respectable.
and every time a see one of those little cliche tattoos a laugh a little inside.

I think any kind of piercing other than ears on a guy is stupid and I think gauges are stupid too. I would negatively stereotype anybody with the aforementioned appearance. I associate it with high school dropouts, slackers, underachievers, potheads, and criminals. I'm generally o.k. with tattoos if they're quality and not obtrusive (like on the neck or face). I like a clean cut appearance and if I owned a business all my employees would be required to look as such.

fair enough. you're entitled to your own opinion. but i dont think its really fair to judge someone based on there appearance. you wouldnt look at an autistic person and think "wow they must be stupid" would you?

I have both ears pierced and my eyebrow was pierced once but I let it close up. It suited me but I would never get my ear stretched etc. Eyebrow piercing was a more influenced by my then girlfriend who loved piercings (tongue, nipple, ears, belly button). Anyway I don't wear ear-rings anymore and when I did it was just a small black circle in my ears.

Tattoo's I'm 100% for, they are such a turn on and look sweet. As long as they aren't on neck and hands you're OK so jobs so.

I like how you're chill about what I posted and know that I was only joking (a mod gave me an infraction -___- )
