I saw that a couple days ago on TEDTalks, very clever way of fixing the problem.
Needs to happen so much waste when it comes to plastic.
Anybody who curious he an engineering student.

That's not the only stuff in the sea though, I've know ships to throw barrels of oil into the sea and just go dead slow astern to mix it in so you can't see it.

At least it's a step in the right direction.
