(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys its been a little while since I have been on here and posted. College has taken away a lot of my time that I have preciously had. It is so much different than highschool, good and bad. The good is that I have a lot more independence, get to go to a lot of parties and still getting to play football, while trying to earn a degree. The bad though is that I miss a lot of my high school friends and playing on Friday nights. Also, I have noticed that once you go away to college, some of your old " friends", act like you don't exist anymore. Studying is a must to for me now as well. There really isn't any homework, just reading and taking notes and quizzes/tests. Its good to be back on here though. After I finish, I want to join the navy with my criminal justice degree.

Do you mean Uni not College? Do people even go away for college? I went away to a college, but it wasn't a generic college it was an academy for merchant navy officers not just a place where you do normal courses.

I'm confused, I have no idea what you are talking about. I go to college and plan on joining the navy after I earn my degree. What are you asking exactly?

Do you mean University not College? I'm not familiar with people going away to college, college in England is not normally an institution you'd go away to, however there are exceptions to that rule.

In the US college is just like University. The main difference lies on the schools content and recognition. High School does not equal college here.

Here it's either:

Pre School > Secondary School (leave at 16 with GCSE's) > College (For vocational courses like studying to be a builder/carpenter etc.)

Pre School > Secondary School (stay till 18 get A-Levels) > University

Ah, interesting. For us, it's Preschool (which isn't mandatory) > Elementary School > Middle School > High School > then if you choose to continue, College

I'm also a freshmen in college, but I'm not a party-type lol.

I'm more of a just hang out with some friends-type, so not really out-going.

Overall, I'm liking it better than high school, but that could be because my high school was BS (haha, inside joke), even though it's like #30 in the US according to USNews.

In terms of studying, I haven't studied a day in high school, unless you count helping another friend study as studying. In college now, it seems like I'm going to have to actually work hard (SYKE). I'm legit on my laptop in class on Facebook, talking to friends, and not paying attention.

My first midterm was in psych, got an 88 (I'm dissappointed :(, but he allows you to drop your lowest midterm from the three), and I have 3 more in 2 days lol. Gotta go hard.
