Yes it is . If I have a lack of belief in the chair I'm sitting in, that means I don't believe in it. Is it really that hard to understand?

I personally believe Christianity is correct, but I also believe that EVERYONE is entitled to their own views. No-one should be pressured or even persuaded to join areligion that they don't fully want to join.
Lets put it this way. Im a Christian and I have got a triple collateral on CoD4. You're maybe not which is WHY you haven't ever had one.

Disbelief is not believing.
Lack of belief is having trouble FULLY believing.

I'm a Christian.. but i have a very weird belief. i believe that if you do believe in something that you should worship it the way you want to. that's what religion is isn't it? Believing in whatever u want? so if you believe in...an almighty glob of guacamole that lives in a castle made of applesauce then you go a head and believe it. Its not exactly practical but..ya know..its your freedom of choice =P

Lack of belief means there is no belief. You don't believe it at all. It really isn't a difficult concept.

Well I kinda understand what he means, not believing in god has the same meaning as believing god doesn't exist.

I see where he is coming from, but we dont believe in a God, or any belief for that matter. So we believe in nothing.
