Hi, I don't like you
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Looks more and more like London will end up with a team in London sooner rather then later. NFL currently plays one game in London per year, but plans to have 2 next year and by 2012 up to 4 games. Also, it looks more like the NFL will have one team playing their every year to help build up a fan base for what would be an eventual move. So if you are a fan of American Football over in London pay attention to next years scheduling as your team could be one of the teams that plays next year. Two of the most likely teams to be moved would be Tampa Bay who played there today or Jacksonville as both teams have struggled to sell out their respective stadiums.

Not only because rugby is already catering for the possible gap but mainly because for some reason the players have to stop every 10 seconds for about a 5 minute advert break making an hour long match take about 4 hours to complete that's why you've got big fat ass people playing it (I don't even see American Football players as athletes but that's another matter).

And don't try and pretend that you what's popular here, what's not and what there is and isn't a market for because you are in fact American, so despite what you think you do not know what British people like so hush your mush.

Ok, first off I wasn't trying to sound like I know whats popular over there, all I know is for something to sell out that quick there has to be interest. Oh, and the fact you're question me to say that I don't know, so I'm taking you know everyone that lives in the general area of London and know that there isn't enough interest. Don't kid yourself.

Now, to the part where American Football players aren't athletes...give me a second to laugh...Guys that are 300 pounds running speeds faster then the average guy half that weight, that doesn't sound like an athlete to me at all. Then you've got just about ever reciever that runs a sub 4.40. So now my question to you is how many football games have you actually watched? Your statement of football players not being athletes is so wrong.

Well seeing as the team is constantly swapping over and stopping generally most of the time they are not moving at all, so therefore only really the guys who run and catch the ball have to be fit, the other players either; stand there wrestling with an opponent or stand still waiting to throw the ball a long way.

And quite a high percentage of fans had flown over from America anyway.

Sorry and what country are you from exactly?
First of all I wouldn't tell you whats what in New York or Los Angeles because i'm not from America and do not know, maybe you should take the message from this because it seems quite stupid to me that you are telling me what people are interested in in London when you presumably have never been to Britain let alone London and I live an hour away from London.

Despite your stubborness and beliefs, maybe you should accept that you do not know the culture and interests of British people and that it is pointless arguing about this when you live several thousands of miles away from Britain.
Read this and make sure you understand it :
A minute percentage of the British public are interested in American Football probably about as much as Americans are interested in Cricket if that puts it into a simple perspective.

You failed to answer my question. How many games have you sat down and watched from start to finish?

Now this is my last post on the popularity of the NFL. See what you're saying is just because you live around the general London area you know that they wouldn't get enough attendance for it to warrant a move, because there is rugby to bridge the gap. That is like me saying that if a soccer team over there were to move to the US it wouldn't succeed because we have MLS to "bridge the gap" and there isn't enough interest. Do you not see how asinine that is?

You don't seem to be understanding me, my point is that there is no market for American Football in Britain not that Rugby is taking up the only possible space for it. The main reason for this as I have repeated two or three times is the length of time that it takes to complete a game: up to 4 hours for a one hour match. However, maybe if the amount of seemingly pointless advertisements breaks and other such in-game breaks were reduced then the public would more likely be interested in it. Although even then it would still not bring masses of people to attend matches as there is not particularly a gap in the market for the sport. Do you understand now?
