I understand A bouncers job is to make sure? people act responsibly and maturely BUT this was TOO FAR.

The guy was probably giving a lot of $hit to the bouncer but just because he's a bouncer doesn't mean he can do him in, If the guy was in the bouncers face, was endangering someone else/ property then he should of been restrained
but it is Very clear that he isn't just restraining him

The bouncers job is too stop this not carry it on and escalate it !He's in the wrong job if he cannot control himself....
I know some people here are bouncers but I have no respect if you people say he deserved this, it's just egoistical and nasty. I've been out in Newcastle a lot and I just keep out the way of bouncers, but this does depend on the situation, if the guy pulled out a knife or something it depends I guess.

Totally agreed mate. He should have just restrained the guy instead of 'teaching him a lesson'. Though the bouncer isn't fully at blame because the guy was taunting him. What did he really think was going to happen!

Your mother!
I dont think he went "to far" to be honest. If the other dude was starting shit to begin with, than he had it coming. Everyone in the world has that "point" where they just cant take it anymore and the bouncer seemed to reach that point. Don't get me wrong, I believe that you're supposed to hold the dude down and shit until the cops come to get him and all but if the dude kept on pushing the bouncer, he had it coming like I said.

The guy probably deserved it. The guy was probably drunk and harassing the bouncer. As long as there is no permanent damage, I think that this is fine.

Agreed!! First, the video starts near the escalation point; how much information is missing? Second, don't run your mouth if you cannot back up what you say. He got laid out, hopefully his ego / mouth feel some pain also.

British bouncers always think they can get away with anything, a comment on the video says the police are investigating but I would bet any amount of money that nothing happens to the bouncer, but if the other guy did that to the bouncer he would be in serious trouble. Yet I suppose if someone starts something you should end it anyway you can while being fair e.g no knives

Worth the Weight
It's a little difficult to say, the bouncer actually threw the first kick at the man. I would say that if the man attacked the bouncer first it would obviously be self defense. I think that in reality the bouncer did lose it, but I can say that he had merit to do so. When it's all said and done the man in the purple deserved it most likely, but the bouncer didn't have to overdo it.

His mate just stood there and looked for the police..
He's twice his size, could've just restrained him...
Totally uncalled for
