Two nights ago, around 04:00, I was sleeping when I woke up to my door opening. I am a fairly light sleeper and always wake up when my door is opened. As I turn over to see who it is, the door is closing. If you open it and then pull it back slightly, it will drift closed. I didn't think anything of it, as I thought it was my dad checking to see if I was awake playing video games (I was tossing and turning in bed which made noise). I brushed it off as nothing and went to sleep. Later the next day, my mom asks me "Did you open the door to the upstairs?" (My parents sleep upstairs) I told her no and she explained to me how she and my dad heard the door open and close to the upstairs. At that point I told her about my door last night and we become slightly worried. Then we proceeded to sweep our house to make sure no one was around. After, we proceeded to check all our windows, which were all locked and shut. The doors were also all locked. We are unable to figure out whether or not someone managed to break in, and then leave without leaving a trace of being there, or if our house is haunted. Personally I believe in ghosts, and think it may have been one, but the house I lived in 4 years ago was haunted and I know what it feels like to have a ghost around you. I don't feel that in this house. Also, the thought of having someone in your house without you knowing scares the hell outta me, so I'd rather it be a ghost. What's your take on it?

I don't "know" for sure what ghosts can do. My belief is that in order for a ghost to do anything that we can see/hear/feel, they need a form of energy. Electric, electromagnetic, etc. It would be hard for them to materialize enough to scratch us, let alone do something for a prolonged period of time, such as trying to choke someone. These are all my assumptions. I don't believe I'm crazy, but whether or not ghosts exist is a matter of opinion. I'm not trying to say they do or do not exist. I'm simply saying that I believe they exist and that is what I believe to be the limit of their abilities.

Just wondering, are you religious at all?

I don't think a ghost caused that, if something else maybe something has to alert them to appear.

Well if you believe what's written in the Bible then i guess it doesn't surprise me you can believe in something such as ghosts too. Not trying to knock your religion, im just saying is all.

No offence taken. I don't take everything in the bible literally. Most things in the bible aren't literal anyways.

Measure out your floors if you live in a old house your floors may be uneven, our windows rooms and floors are uneven due to age and the way the house sits on the foundation, the houses here are old, house 3 doors down is almost 250 years old, and people have died in my house like most, and if they are real they are, don't be afraid until stuff starts flying around etc
