Do you have any idea how much some of the programs bring in a year?

This. They get a free ride through school just to play football. These athletes don't even get an education, most of them end up dumber than a box of rocks like Cardale Jones. If they want to make money then they can go play in the CFL get noticed and end up drafted by the NFL that way. Otherwise they should not have scholarships for sports and get more scholarships for students who will actually go to learn something. To actually get a higher education.

At the end of the day these athletes should be pleased with the blessings they've received and actually do something about their education. Because who knows maybe one day they'll get injured and won't ever be playing sports again, then they can fall back onto their higher education.

Why does that matter? The NCAA is a business and the athletes are not professionals.

Regardless,

I do think players should be "compensated." This is different from being "paid." Paid means they have a legally established salary through a contract. College athletes should not have salaries nor contracts. I think compensation is a good idea. This is like Johnny Manziel being able to sell his autograph and his likeness for money, NCAA has no business barring this. This would also include giving all players an equal share of the profits of games and bowl games that they play in. Shouldn't be a lot, but a couple hundred for each player would be nice.
