Funny that. I was thinking the exact same thing the other day. Why is a Car called a Car? Why is a seat called a Seat?

I have no idea, like it all makes sense to us as thats what we are used to and have been for all our lives, someone must have gave a name to everything. Not the same person ofc but a series of people. Who came up with the word whatever, and why does it mean what it does, why does any of this means what im saying what im saying.
