Long story short, in a program where i am on track to receive my associates degree before I graduate which is wonderful and i have no problem with(even though im spread thin with AP courses at my hs). One of the perks with this program is that if you get the associates degree(simply pass all classes), then you get a full scholarship t receive a bachelors degree at the college. This is wonderful but the only problem is that the college is one of those colleges that people say they don't want to end up going to. Teachers even like to threaten students with remarks like "you'll end up going to the college next door if you keep getting these terrible grades". The school has a 92% acceptation rate, they don't turn anyone down. As you may have imagined, this college isn't Yale or Harvard.

Before i learned about this, i planned on going to digipen, a college that focuses on computer science and video game development which is also a private college. The tuition is 157104 which is pretty high. The guys who made portal come from there and the building is the old xbox hq. They seem to be fairly respected in the gaming industry which is where i wish to end up. Im only using digipen as an example, there are MUCH cheaper schools that i am considering within my state or city that are Good colleges but im trying to give you an idea of the two spectrum that exist with my options (paid but good, or free but shit). So the QUESTION I WANT ANSWERED is: Which option will lead to superior financial success?

Please assume i will get a job that matches my major/requires a degree, just throw out the whole 'college is useless' argument, i do recognize it, but i also decide to turn a blind eye to it.

Good paid college or free medgar(the shit school) college?

No one can really decide this accept from you Happy, if you want a better education then obviously the paid college would be much better, the decision is in your hands, enjoy Needa

Shows you how much a college degree is used/needed vs how many people use their actual major. It honestly depends on what you want to and your families and you personal financial situation. Many employers look at a college degree just because it shows a large accomplishment but often times more than anything it shows dedication. When your in college there are thousands of things that you could be doing besides homework or studying or being in class and if you are dedicated enough to say no to those things and keep good grades it shows a sense of self discipline. Which is a great thing in life and one thing employers look for. Although if you plan on going into entrepreneurship it's not near as important because your not trying to impress an employer because you don'g have one.

At the end of the day it all depends on what you want to do and it also depends heavily on your families and you personal financial situation. If you come from money and your family has the money to pay for your college, then I would probably go with the paid but good one. Although if your just a solid middle class or middle-lower or middle-higher then I would probably go with the free one. As mentioned before it varies job to job your not gonna go be a huge lawyer without a law degree but a normal job or a pretty good every day job many employers look more at the fact you finished college more than what you majored in. Considering 46% of college students drop out before they finish just finishing alone shows a good bit of potential.

so you're saying that grades in college matter more than the college you go to?

Well, to some extent but you of course have your very high looked upon collages such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale and so on of course those you just get a whole different perception of how smart you are. But it is more of the grades and the diploma than it is the actual major for most jobs now as I said before don't plan on being a lawyer with a major in art history cause it's probably not gonna happen.

But talk to Sexy Solo he's very successful at a young age and has more life experience than probably anybody on the site. Although he works as a paralegal I believe he could still give you way more advice on this topic than I could.

fuck no i'm not a paralegal. a paralegal is basically a lawyer's bitch. not a secretary, but close.

paralegal job requirement: 2 year degree
paralegal average salary: $48,000

everything else you said is true, though.
