Chrome may use alot of CPU but it is by far the best browser around.

Firefox is the best one, best customization, more private than Chrome, faster loading times etc.

Today Will Be Different
I've been using Chrome as long as I can remember. Hell I went from Netscape, Safari, Opera, Firefox, then to Chrome. And honestly none of those browsers were bad, but I think Chrome is currently the browser that has set the standards in many different fields.

And whoever did that benchmark must have a shitty single core processor. My cpu usage while running Chrome with multiple tabs open and a video playing is only peaking 10% usage.

I love the google chrome interface. I'm deeply sad Apple stopped the development of safari for windows systems. Opera used to be my favorite, never got around to downloading it and testing it in the past 4 years lol maybe i should !

thanks for the post!

I agree with BabeRuthBar, I don't know where you got those benchmarks from because 80% CPU usage is absurb. My CPU usage never maxes over 30% with Chrome running. Hell, I don't think it even gets that high just from Chrome.

Worth the Weight
Frankly, any desktop browser nowadays is fast enough for usage. Firefox has traditionally been slower than Chrome in almost every instance for me, and ocasionally slower than Internet Explorer. I have no idea what is causing this, (I've tried fresh installs and whatnot) but I could just never get into it. The addons are definitely a welcomed addition in Firefox, but since I do all my work in separate programs, I don't really need Firefox.
